Overview of the role:
In January 2019, Toast launched our first consumer product, Toast TakeOut, a mobile app that allows diners to order ahead and skip the line at the best local restaurants. In addition to helping consumers save time, Toast TakeOut integrates directly with our POS to provide greater convenience to our restaurants serving digital orders. In this role, you will join a fast-paced internal startup initiative and pioneer consumer marketing at Toast to drive growth of the Toast TakeOut product in Boston and beyond. We are seeking an experienced B2C marketer that can develop a strategic marketing plan and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves as often as needed to execute on marketing initiatives. You’ll work closely with team members throughout the company to help Toast TakeOut achieve its goals in 2019 and build the Toast consumer brand from the ground up.
What you will do:
Build Toast into a well-known consumer brand
Develop and execute quarterly Marketing plans that drive growth of Toast TakeOut
Directly execute ongoing consumer marketing campaigns for Toast TakeOut, including email marketing, co-marketing events with restaurants, feet-on-the-street activations, website management, social media partnerships, and paid advertising
Analyze and measure impact of marketing campaigns and adjust tactics to drive higher results
Create strategic project plans for quarterly and annual consumer marketing activities based on our growth goals for Toast TakeOut
Become an expert in our core consumer segments and advocate for their needs and interests
Cultivate and foster relationships with restaurants
Build and maintain ongoing communications with team members across Marketing, Sales, Operations, Product, Design, and Engineering to achieve our goal
Advocate for product enhancements that will help us achieve our growth goals
Do you have the right ingredients?
4-5 years marketing experience in consumer tech, preferably in food ecommerce
Passion to be a part of a fast-paced, high potential initiative where you can make a huge impact
Relentless desire to improve, challenge yourself, and hit ambitious goals
Analytical mindset for measuring and optimizing results
Creative energy and motivation for building brand relationships with consumers
The ability to be a team player as well as work independently
Previous experience with marketing technology (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
Ability to be creative, efficient and productive with minimal supervision or guidance
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
Experience working with geographically dispersed teams and colleagues
