As Manager, Learning Operations, you will serve as a vital orchestrator of Moderna University’s learning ecosystem, scaling operational delivery and enhancing program execution across digital and physical platforms. You will lead coordination efforts, optimize vendor partnerships, and coach a small, high-impact team. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, data-driven insights, and technology—including AI—you will ensure an outstanding learning experience that supports Moderna’s global growth. This role is highly cross-functional and requires seamless collaboration with Digital, HR, Finance, Procurement, and learning stakeholders across the enterprise.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
Your key responsibilities will be:
Managing Tier 1 support for learning inquiries including course access, navigation, and content-related questions, while ensuring escalation and resolution of Tier 2 & 3 issues within SLA targets.
Building and maintaining robust documentation, playbooks, and SOPs for Learning Management System (LMS) operations.
Coordinating learning program logistics such as AV, catering, facilitator scheduling, and participant enrollment to enable seamless delivery by Learning Business Partners.
Partnering across the organization to ensure high-quality, on-time, and on-budget program execution.
Driving digital transformation by collaborating with HR Tech Ops to identify and implement LMS and operational process improvements.
Your responsibilities will also include:
Leveraging AI and automation to enhance scalability and efficiency of learning programs, embedding digitization into the core of learning operations.
Creating and delivering operational learning reports in partnership with program owners, using analytics to track effectiveness and identify opportunities for enhancement.
Coaching and supporting a small team delivering learning logistics and employee support, cultivating a growth-oriented and high-performing team culture.
Managing vendor engagement and onboarding, including requisitions, contracts, and invoice alignment in coordination with HR vendor management.

Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications)
Masters degree required
At least 5 years proven experience in talent or learning and development operations, preferably in a regulated environment with multiple internal stakeholders.
Proficiency in managing vendor relationships and maintaining budgets.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing operations teams.
Excellent project management abilities with a track record of meeting deadlines and managing risks.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to think strategically and translate insights into actionable plans.
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)
Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS), learner experience platforms (LXP), analytics tools, and process improvement methodologies.
Familiarity with ticketing systems, including ServiceNow.
Technical fluency and interest in, or experience with, the use of AI--and especially generative AI--to automate and improve workflows.
Demonstrated ability to improve the learner experience through learning processes and technologies.
