Job Description
We're looking for an energetic and experienced Paralegal to be an integral member of the Legal team. The Legal team works cross-functionally and across multiple geographies, providing advice, support and assistance to Dynatrace's various corporate, commercial and transactional initiatives. Reporting to the Legal Operations Manager, you will be responsible for supporting corporate governance, compliance, commercial and IP matters.
You will leverage your strengths in customer service, resourcefulness, process improvements, and can-do attitude to help to scale the legal team and the business.
Description & Requirements
- Oversee and manage all aspects of global subsidiary maintenance, including maintaining database and corporate records, completing domestic and international periodic filings or registrations, managing corporate reorganization projects and coordination across internal stakeholders and third-party service providers to ensure a robust global governance process.
- Assist with requests for information and documentation (internal stakeholder or audit related), such as KYC, UBO, etc. and develop standardized responses.
- Assist with drafting and development of templates, forms and other legal documents and coordination of approvals, signatures, notarization, and legalization of documents.
- Coordinate and manage with outside counsel the registration and renewals of patents and trademarks, work with R&D and Marketing to provide proof of use, track and report registration status.
- Help with the corporate governance processes including taking lead on general recordkeeping, preparation and organization of materials, including the Legal Sharepoint page.
- Provide management of various databases, files and systems.
- Coordinate across functional areas including Legal, Sales, Tax, Finance and business sponsors to drive efficiencies and implement repeatable processes.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned, including Legal team technology projects, with the ability to work in an ever-changing environment.
Preferred Skills and Characteristics:
- Strong team player with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and a desire to make legal processes more efficient.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and collaborative, customer-oriented approach, with a willingness to pitch in where needed.
- Flexible with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to work both independently and as a team.
- Familiarity with DocuSign, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Sharepoint, and entity/subsidiary management and other legal department management tools a plus.
- A license to serve as, or willingness to get licensed as, a notary, preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelors' degree and/or paralegal certification is required
- 5+ years of paralegal experience in a fast-paced office environment
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and general computer skills
