Why You Should Join the Procurement Team at Klaviyo
Klaviyo is seeking a Contracts Manager that will join the Procurement Team to help develop a world-class procurement operation. This highly impactful role will work cross-functionally with the business legal as well as others to support and optimize the contracting process, grow the operations team, and increase efficiencies across all Procurement Processes. Your strategy, management, and documentation skills will ensure Klaviyo is equipped with the process to execute their sourcing and purchasing needs. This is a high visibility role that directly impacts many financial areas.
The Contracts Manager will be part of the Finance Organization and report directly to the Sr. Manager, Global Procurement. As this role grows, the Procurement Operations Manager will continue to grow their team and scale internationally with Klaviyo. How You Will Make A Difference
- Understand and analyze contracts from varying purchase types (SaaS, Marketing, Consulting, etc.)
- Facilitate discussions and decisions through multiple stakeholders and approval groups including Legal, Risk and Trust, FP&A, etc.
- Negotiate contracts to obtain the optimal value for Klaviyo
- Organize contracts to ensure they are well documented, easily found and notifications are correct for renewal/cancellations
- Advise varying levels of the organization on the best path forward during contract negotiations and day to day operations
- Work with Legal to develop best-in-class processes to reduce friction and increase quality of contract reviews and negotiations
- Problem solve and troubleshoot ad-hoc issues as they arise internally and externally
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree required
- Broad knowledge of and comfort working with complex legal documentation (contracts)
- 5+ years of Procurement experience working with contracts (SaaS or technology industry preferred).
- Experience contracting with SaaS technology vendors, professional services vendors, marketing contracts or similar.
- Ability to influence and partner with business colleagues throughout the organization
- Experience in solving multiple and complex challenges through critical thinking and cross-functional collaboration
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Breaks down large, complex, ambiguous goals into manageable pieces.
- Extremely organized with good project management skills.
- Strong attention to detail, can learn quickly and understand big picture concepts.
