Toast is seeking a dedicated Compliance Manager for Toast Capital, a new and exciting
financial services program that complements our core POS business by providing restaurants
with access to growth capital. In this role, you will partner with Toast Capital’s Lead Counsel
to advise and guide the Toast Capital team through product launches and with ongoing
program support.

What you will do:

• Effectively communicates compliance considerations as new products and processes are created to ensure business practices, documentation, marketing materials, and customer correspondence comply with federal and state regulations

• Execute Toast Capital’s 2nd line of defense through performance of risk assessments, monitoring & testing of internal processes, and effective management of complaint and issues

• Develop a library of stock training materials and oversee required training

• In conjunction with Lead Counsel, serve as the point of contact for all regulatory compliance inquiries and requests to include assisting with internal/external audits and follow-up

• Recurring reporting to ensure stakeholders are apprised of key issues, changes and developments as well as ongoing status of the compliance program

• Stay abreast of regulatory and industry developments related to compliance, lending and privacy and ensure required changes are complied with in a timely manner

• Lean-in to assist with additional projects as needed

Do you have the right ingredients?

• At least 5 years of regulatory compliance experience at a financial institution

• Broad knowledge of FinCEN/BSA guidelines and requirements, as well as federal/state lending laws

• Track record of successfully overseeing a compliance monitoring/testing program and performance of associated risk assessments

• Experience dealing with regulators, auditors, and banking partners

• Demonstrated ability to develop project plans and drive progress to timely completion

• Effectively collaborates with a wide range of people in a diverse and accepting environment and embodies our “no ego” philosophy

• Strong written and verbal communication skills including a demonstrated ability to clearly provide written reports that accurately and clearly summarize issues and present solutions in an understandable and logical manner

• Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment that take into consideration risk and impact for Toast Capital, Toast, Inc., our bank partners, and our customers
