Position Summary:

The Sterling MFT Lead will be responsible for leading and managing secure file transfer operations at the onshore location using both IBM Sterling MFT and Axway Secure Transport platforms. This role will serve as a technical and operational point of contact, coordinating with offshore teams, business stakeholders, and application owners to ensure uninterrupted and secure data exchange across enterprise systems.
 

The ideal candidate should have deep experience in designing, implementing, and supporting file transfer infrastructures, with strong expertise in both IBM Sterling and Axway MFT tools. The role demands leadership capability, operational excellence, and strong collaboration across technical and business teams

Position Description:

• Lead onshore MFT operations and collaborate with offshore teams to ensure 24x7 support coverage
• Act as the SME and escalation point for IBM Sterling and Axway Secure Transport platforms
• Design and implement scalable and secure MFT solutions based on business requirements
• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and tune IBM Sterling and Axway tools
• Manage file transfer setups: routing channels, SSH profiles, PGP encryption, SSL certificates, partner configurations
• Monitor and maintain system health and performance across both platforms
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational security policies
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, including SOPs and architecture diagrams
• Lead RCA efforts and drive continuous improvement in MFT processes
• Work closely with business and application teams to gather requirements and deliver efficient solutions
• Participate in DR drills, compliance audits, and operational risk mitigation

Required skills:

• Unix, IBM products – IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, IBM Sterling File Gateway, IBM Sterling Secure Proxy, IBM Sterling Configuration Manager, IBM Control Center
• Axway MFT – Axway Secure Transport, Gateway, Transfer CFT, File Broker, Sentinel, API Gateway, Policy Studio, Cert Management, Scheduling and automation
• Experience designing and implementing IBM Sterling implementation and solutions.
• Experience performing upgrades, patching, performance tuning for the above-mentioned IBM products.
• Demonstrated abilities to setup and configure file transfer components including routing channel templates, SSH profiles, PGP keys, routing channels, partner setup, protocols, notifications.
• Must have experience in Install, configure, maintain, and administrate Sterling MFT and Axway products.
• Proficient in development and implementation of business processes and custom components to facilitate different types of file transfer operations.
• Should have experience in file transfer systems for performance tuning, remediation of vulnerabilities.
• Experience with firewalls, routing, load balancing, and DMZ configurations
• Knowledge of DR setup, failover, and backup strategies
• Effective communicator with ability to lead cross-functional technical discussions

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
