Position Summary

The Lead Director will play a critical role in supporting the Office of the CEO, ensuring seamless preparation, coordination, and execution of high-impact activities. This position demands exceptional organizational skills, strategic insight, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment. The Lead Director will facilitate critical communications, assist in managing enterprise processes, and oversee key operational responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • CEO Briefing Development: Create comprehensive, high-quality briefings to prepare the CEO for external meetings with other CEOs, industry leaders, and key stakeholders, ensuring the CEO is equipped with relevant insights, data, and strategic context

  • Enterprise Management Support: Drive enterprise management processes by partnering across the enterprise, developing meeting agendas, organizing and distributing materials, coordinating attendees, providing real-time meeting support, and tracking action items to completion

  • Communications: Draft clear, concise, and impactful communications that synthesize complex information to support strategic decision-making 

  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to align initiatives with the CEO’s vision, providing insights and challenging leadership when necessary to drive optimal outcomes

Required Qualifications

Experience: 10+ years of experience in a strategic, operational, or executive support role. Experience working with C-suite executives is highly desirable

  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to produce error-free materials and manage complex processes with precision

  • Organizational Skills: Proven track record of managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders in a dynamic environment

  • Business Acumen: Deep understanding of business operations and the ability to quickly grasp the company’s strategic priorities and industry dynamics

  • Leadership and Influence: Confidence to challenge senior leadership constructively, offering insights to refine strategies and decisions

  • Work Ethic: Strong commitment to excellence, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and task completion

  • Independence: Ability to work autonomously, make sound decisions under pressure, and manage sensitive information with discretion

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, or a related field

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,540.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
