WHOOP is seeking a Lab Operations Coordinator, Recruitment to own participant recruitment and scheduling for in-person research conducted at WHOOP Labs in Boston. This role will directly impact the quality and rigor of research by ensuring each study recruits the right participants, with intentional focus on demographic diversity and study-specific criteria. Working closely with Research Scientists and the broader Lab Operations team, you will help scale research capabilities, expand the research panel, and continuously improve the participant experience.
This is a W-2, Temporary position through the remainder of 2026, with an hourly pay range of $30 - $35/hr. Candidates must be prepared to work in person at WHOOP Labs in Boston, MA 5 days each week.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead session scheduling and end-to-end recruitment efforts for designated research programs within WHOOP Labs
- Recruit and schedule a high volume of participants for in-lab and field studies, ensuring alignment with demographic targets and inclusion goals
- Partner with Research Scientists to understand study objectives and translate them into clear recruitment criteria and execution plans
- Oversee participant communications, logistics, and compensation processes to deliver a seamless and professional experience
- Track recruitment progress, analyze gaps, and present updates and insights to the broader WHOOP Labs team
- Support strategic initiatives including research panel growth, budget planning for incentives, and continuous improvement of recruitment operations
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- 1–3 years of experience in research recruitment, research operations, study coordination, or a related field
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to confidently conduct outreach and build relationships with diverse communities
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and problem-solve to meet recruitment targets
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and operational rigor
- Currently located in the Greater Boston area and able to work in-person at the WHOOP office 5 days per week
- Strong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions.
