What You’ll Do:

BRUNT is seeking a Key Account Manager whose main focus is  to serve as the primary relationship owner for our retail partners and to develop the BRUNT business to drive our wholesale business. Reporting to the National Sales Director, this role will ensure seamless processes across inventory management, product delivery, in-store marketing and sales education. 

You’ll work closely with marketing, product development, planning, partner services and operations and combine their domain expertise with your own industry knowledge, to ensure our partners get the day-to-day support they need.  You’ll be hands-on, frequently visiting their onsite locations nationwide, with a strong focus on centrally located retail partners. 


How You’ll Do It:

Partnerships (Internal or External): 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all external partners built on mutual respect, integrity and enthusiasm.
  • Visits the key partners as well as stores routinely, to evaluate assortments and make proper revisions to satisfy market needs.
  • Coordinate, prepare and execute seasonal apparel product sell-in presentations.
  • Build a strong case by linking BRUNT product knowledge and know-how to customers’ interests, needs and goals.
  • Deliver on time reporting and forecasting for all required reports and documents to appropriate parties.
  • Manage, track and resolve all customer compliance issues.

Financial Management: 

  • Using strong business acumen and retail math abilities, drive the top and bottom-line number for each account.
  • Drive account growth and profitability by assessing and building on areas of momentum; capitalize on product/pricing opportunities and course correct with innovative sales tactics to improve sales performance with account.
  • Leverage market, retailer, and competitor trends at the category level to build strategic sales plan through the lens of brick-and-mortar.
  • Manage all credit claims and issues to resolution.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar in a related field or equivalent work experience;
  • 5+ years in Sales and Key Account Management preferably work footwear industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of key metric levers and how to use them to create increased profitability and sales for both BRUNT and its retail partners.
  • Proven success managing a wholesale business with top work retailers in the industry.
  • Ability to apply financial data to make decisions and influence outcomes. This includes margins, retail math, forecast/projections, probability and statistical inference, fractions, percentages, ratios, etc.
  • Ability to portray confidence and agility to manage difficult and/ or changing situations.
  • Ability to make “on the spot” decisions.
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of business via phone, written communication and in person.
  • Proven background that reflects being results-oriented.
  • Ability to travel 70% of the time on a national scale.
