Position summary –

Tools Research team at Nuance develops and maintains Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) toolkits building ASR/NLP models and deep neural networks at large scale. We are looking for an intern who can help us to improve testing infrastructure and coverage for tools related to language model (LM) training. You will learn how a large-scale ML model build workflow works in a practical industrial context and analyze model build code and training workflows.

 

Principal duties and responsibilities:

  • The daily work will involve developing Python code and running testing workflows of LM tools/model builds to:
  • Improve testing infrastructure and coverage in LM tools
  • Convert/consolidate perl and shell test scripts into python
  • Convert lmtools perl scripts into python
  • Running ML workflows, populate table of benchmark results for LM tools pipelines

Knowledge, skills and qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computational linguistics or similar
  • Minimum years of work experience: 0

Required skills: -           

  • Python
  • Git
  • Perl

Preferred skills: -           

  • Jenkins
  • Tensorflow
  • Understanding of ML concepts
