Insider's spotlight

How would you describe the company’s work-life balance?

CIC feels like the Slack for physical space. I can tune into as many events as I want to and plug myself into the community when I want. I enjoy being involved in all the action.

Alex

Community Leader (Operations Team)

What kinds of technical challenges do you and your team face?

I benefit directly from my team's hard work in advance of events: they constantly work to ensure every piece is in place. However, unforeseen problems can always arise. If there's been a miscommunication we don't find out about until event day, my biggest challenge is finding a solution to in the moment problems to keep all parties happy and safe.

Jamie

Events Team Member, Part-Time

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

CIC brought in experts to enhance my team members’ strengths & encouraged us to attend external programs contributing to individual development. I've experienced CIC investing in employees who invest energy and efforts into its success. In 3.5 years I moved through three roles, each a scope change with increased levels of responsibility.

Naomi

Director of Sales, MA (Sales and Relationship Manager Team)

At CIC, we're all about continually trying to make things better. Whether you've been here for three years or three months, if you've got a good idea that can improve a system, delight a client, save time, etc. then we let you lead that initiative.
