Cogito is looking for service oriented team player to help support our most important asset, our people. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Talent, you will work across the organization to ensure employee experience and candidate experience are of the highest level. This isn’t a paper pushing HR internship as we’re looking for someone who can focus on enhancing and influencing our culture. The person will work closely with People Ops (HR), Talent Acquisition, Ops, IT and numerous other teams.
This person will be expected to work 40 hours per week in our Boston office from January until the end of May.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule interviews including presentations
- Follow-up with internal interviewers to ensure they're properly prepare for candidate interviews
- Create interview itineraries for applicants and internal interview teams
- Update offer letter templates as necessary
- Initiate on-boarding including background checks through our vendor, GoodHire
- Recommend and participate in local networking events
- Run regular reports on hiring metrics
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Projects:
- Partner with People Generalist to research and recommend improvements to New Hire Orientation
- Research best local networking and recruiting events for Cogito to attend
- Profile current employees to strengthen our talent branding programs
- Partner with People Generalist and Sr. Executive Assistant to CEO to help execute wellness initiatives and other cultural events
Requirements:
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, human resources or a related field
- Recommended to have at least one prior internship in a high tech company
- Experience working on multiple projects concurrently
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced startup culture
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to drive process and improve processes
- Comfortable communicating in-person and via email and slack with different stakeholders
- Must be able to use discretion with confidential information
Skills:
- Experience with Mac OS, GSuite, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to learn new software tools such as Lever for applicant tracking, Namely for HRIS, and GoodHire for background checks
- Excellent written and verbal customer service skills
- Self-starter who takes on new initiatives
- Good time management
- A friendly and can-do attitude
