HubSpot is hiring a motivated, inquisitive, and hungry marketing co-op to join the freemium user acquisition team.

We’re looking for someone who fits this description:

  • You’re self-motivated and obsess about personal development. Your favorite hobby is learning. Your second favorite hobby is trying what you learned.
  • You’re curious. You ask lots of questions. Your favorite question is why. You want to deeply understand the problem, getting to the root cause, before suggesting solutions.
  • Aggressive goals don’t scare you, they excite you. You love solving tough problems no one else can figure out.
  • You’re entrepreneurial. You’re not afraid to fail. You take risks and share your thoughts openly. You have unconventional ideas on how to solve problems and love discussing them with others.
  • You have a growth mindset. You understand everything in life is learnable. You also know that learnable isn’t a real word (or is it?).
  • You prefer autonomy. You enjoy an environment where you’re making your own decisions; not being told what to do next.
  • Bonus points if you’re already reading about growth marketing. You’ll be asked in the interview a series of technical questions about marketing to test your chops. :)
  • You're available to work from January to June 2019.

What you’ll learn in this role

  • You will learn how one of the fastest growing SaaS companies in history acquires new users at scale.
  • You will learn how to predict expected impact through quantitative modeling, running A/B tests, and communicating what you learned to other teams within HubSpot.
  • You will get exposure to multiple acquisition channels such as SEO, content marketing, affiliate marketing, and how to grow through product virality.
  • You will leave with actionable skills you can immediately apply. You’ll learn about SEO, CRO, content marketing, data analysis, copywriting, marketing automation, A/B testing, and other applicable skills to modern marketing. You get your will jump right into getting your hands dirty and learn through experience -- not through reading about hypotheticals.
  • You will be mentored throughout your coop / internship with a "learning plan" custom tailored to exactly what you want to learn before you leave.
  • You will work on one of the most challenging and impactful areas at HubSpot (and any software company for that matter) which is acquiring new users.

Location is flexible for the right candidate. HubSpot HQ is in Cambridge, MA. We work with teams in Dublin, Ireland. Your manager is based out of San Diego, CA.
