At Basis, we have opportunities that can help you develop skills and get hands-on experience working with some of the best teams in the field of data extraction.  We have openings for summer interns, as well as cooperative programs. Our cooperative programs run either January to June or July to December. 

You'll be working on: 

• Building products for the world’s biggest search engines using software engineering and natural language processing
• Experimenting with the latest in NLP research to solve real-world problems
• Designing user-focused features for NLP applications with adoring customers
• Building tools to orchestrate deployment and elastic scaling of software in the cloud
• Creating tools that analyze data found on hard drives, mobile devices or networks using Java Open Source Development

Qualifications: 
• Open to candidates with diverse backgrounds
• Ability to program in Java, and/or Python is a plus
• Able and willing to absorb new information quickly and switch gears easily
• Speaking, reading and writing ability in languages other than English is desirable
• Coursework in machine learning is a plus
