Group Marketing Intern:
athenahealth is changing the way the healthcare industry works. athena employs around 100 interns in a variety of departments and office locations each summer. We don't believe in "busy work" around here, so our interns are given challenging projects that directly impact the business. Beyond their day-to-day work, interns also attend speaker seminar series’, social and networking events, and give end-of-summer “business impact presentations” to their department’s leadership team to showcase their work.

About the
Group Marketing Team: Group Segment Marketing team is responsible for go to market strategy for all independent medical groups with 7+ doctors. The team owns messaging and campaigns spanning the entire buyer's journey for group prospects.

Responsibilities of the
Group Marketing Intern:

  • Support the buyer's journey and portfolio marketing grid
  • Assist with direct mail and email campaigns, as well as provide data and administrative support to entire team
  • Support group segment marketing team meet goals by taking strategic projects and research to enable the team to expand our capacity for what we are able to put into marketing in Q2 & Q3
  • Have complete ownership with guidance of our Q3 competitor takedown campaign

Qualifications:
  • Must be extremely detail oriented
  • Should be a fast learner & hard worker
  • Should be very interested in Marketing
  • Fluency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excited by a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Should be comfortable working on your own and in a team setting
  • Should have a positive attitude
