Job Summary

 

This role will lead our efforts to deliver an end-to-end accelerated development system for our next generation of leaders. This role is an opportunity to change lives and careers by transforming the learning experience and equipping the industry’s most capable leaders to thrive!   You will have an opportunity be an influential representative within Cerence and impact high growth through effective leadership (both proactive and reactive) of a wide range of Employee Relations, Human Resources and Learning/Organizational Design.

 

 

This role will:

 

  • Research and implement transformative, personalized development solutions and engagement practices that result in leaders who are future-focused and can deliver strong leadership in a progressive work environment.
  • Help define and advance our cultural aspirations as a learning organization where learning is not a means to an end but learning as a lifestyle.
  • Direct the efforts of talent programs and advisors in place to ensure implementation and execution excellence
  • Work hand-in-hand with Cerence’s talent and culture organization to ensure system alignment and to ensure programs are streamlined and on the front end of progressive enhancements.
  • Collaborate with learning and development owners for development programs throughout Cerence to ensure the alignment and leverage across the learning ecosystem.
  • Partner and coach across HR on interventions required for individuals, managers and teams on preventing employee relations issues, effective management of performance cases, giving performance feedback, employee engagement and retention, inclusion, and other topics related to manager effectiveness

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and implement various policies and programs including employee counseling and engagement, policy interpretation and sensitive work-related issues.
  • Leverage insights to influence all levels of the organization and effectively handling complex employee situations that could have high organizational impact
  • Serve as Director /Lead for key programs and activities associated with the execution of advanced learning Services /HR organization and talent strategy
  • Drive consistency in execution of programs; including diversity & inclusion, succession planning, top talent management, and performance feedback practices
  • Coordinate successful completion of complex processes related to development activities.
  • Manage top talent reporting and analytics to cultivate key insights and trends
  • Focus on continuous improvement of key processes
  • Can demonstrate expertisewithin the learning management domain including knowledge of new ways of working and learning in a professional setting.
  • Able to consult and expertly manage executives; demonstratedability to influence and challenge the status quo
  • Skilled in research and procurement of insights
  • Skilled in change and culture management
  • Demonstrates understanding andimpact of emerging business trends and their implications for learning

 

Essential Requirements

  • Typically requires 15+ years of related experience in a professional role with a minimum of Bachelor’s degree (or equivalence)
  • Strong program management / Director level skills
  • Strong Excel & PowerPoint skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills – creating presentations, executive presence, possesses excellent listening, negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Broad experience with HR strategy (Generalist), Employee Relations and Learning and Organizational Design.
