This co-op will be intrinsically motivated by the question: How can we build a world class data platform across Indigo to empower scientists and product managers to identify, promote and track potential products in our Research and Development (R&D) pipeline? The Data Intelligence function works closely with the R&D, software engineering, systems architecture and Data Science teams to structure and ensure quality data capture and build reporting and analytics tools for a variety of internal customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with Data Intelligence, Data Science, Data Architecture and Software Engineering to understand the structure of Indigo's databases, data needs and data pipeline automation capabilities of the organization
  • Review/update current documentation of databases
  • Design and create data tables to ingest R&D data
  • Evaluate use of Java script and HTML to enhance existing BI tools in Spotfire
  • Put together a long term plan to further normalize R&D databases within Indigo

COMPETENCIES

  • Proficient in SQL, Python, Java, HTML
  • Preferred computer science background
  • Optional proficiency in R and R-Shiny
  • Optional statistics background
  • Experience with Dash
  • Preferred experience with BI tools such as Spotfire
  • Understanding of best data practices and database design
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Attention to detail and creating detailed documentation
  • Comfortable with talking to end users
  • Willingness to learn new skills and take on complex projects

Location

On the edge of Charlestown, we are within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The Sullivan Square T and bus stop is also right next door! We are currently working remote/hybrid with the exception of our fantastic Biotrinsic team who work from the office and lab space here.
