The Image Analysis Co-Op will aid in the development and implementation of image analysis algorithms for extracting as much information from plant images as possible, helping to accelerate Indigo’s R&D pipeline. They will work to continually improve the quality and depth of optical and hyperspectral imaging analysis and develop methods to capture novel features. As a member of the image analysis team within BioInnovation at Indigo, they will work collaboratively to rapidly drive research and product development forward using computer vision and machine learning tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understand our current imaging capabilities and image analysis pipeline
• Understand current image analysis code base
• Suggest new methods for extraction of novel metrics from plant images
• Use Jupyter Notebooks to develop and prototype these new methods
• Optimize quality and robustness of image analysis pipeline
• Identify weaknesses and failure modes of our current algorithms, and propose solutions
• Review image analysis code base for efficiency
• Design unit tests for existing and new modules
• Document code within image analysis repositories
