Designed to address the needs of today's businesses as they prepare for the future, NuoDB's elastic SQL database combines the scale-out simplicity, elasticity, and continuous availability that cloud applications require, with the transactional consistency and durability that databases of record demand. 
Position Overview:
NuoDB is seeking a Finance Intern for the 2018-2019 school year. This person will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will also have frequent interactions with the Controller and other members on the NuoDB team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end close, including preparation of balance sheet reconciliation workbooks for accounts such as Petty Cash, Accounts Payable, Credit Card Accruals, and Accrued Rent.
• Assist in month-end analysis and analytics over balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Prepare journal entries for review. Examples include payroll, credit card expense, and sales tax.
• Record vendor invoices through Accounts Payable module in QuickBooks.
• Help with general office responsibilities, where needed, including but not limited to mailings and weekly team-building event coordination.

Qualifications:

• Must be a college junior or above majoring in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• QuickBooks experience preferred.
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Proficient Google Suite skills including Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Sheets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative and team player.
• Self-starter and problem solver.
