We’re looking for a VP of Tech E&O to help fuel our growth! In this new player coach role, you’ll be responsible for growing our book of Tech E&O business and managing a team of underwriters. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for someone who’s tired of the status quo and wants to work in a more dynamic and innovative insurance environment where they can really shine.

Responsibilities 

  • Contribute to the ongoing execution of Corvus’ Tech E&O strategy

  • Manage & mentor a team of underwriters

  • Partner with the Head of Cyber and Tech E&O on managing priorities and achieving team goals

  • Achieve premium production and sales goals while building a profitable book of Tech E&O business

  • Work with risk capital partners to further Tech E&O strategy

  • Build and enhance broker relationships nationally

  • Drive consistent underwriting best practices 

  • Ensuring high quality service standards and compliance with all underwriting guidelines

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Data Science and other teams within Corvus in order to maximize our value proposition in the insurTech space

  • Serve as a representative of the company by attending external company functions, industry conferences, and other industry events 

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years of underwriting experience with Tech E&O; management or team lead experience preferred

  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally to execute strategic initiatives

  • Strong broker relationships nationally 

  • Proven success improving production and quality metrics

  • Advanced technical expertise and knowledge of underwriting principles, practices and procedures 

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks 

  • Highly organized with superb attention to detail

  • Exceptional verbal and visual communication skills 

  • Willingness to travel nationally to major cities
