Who we are looking for

 

ETQ, a high growth software company located in Burlington MA, is seeking to hire a VP, People Ops to oversee our rapidly growing global company. In this function you’ll serve as the architect for our global and domestic HR policies, our compliance posture, and our culture. Additionally, you’ll need to be comfortable getting involved in day to day tactical issues that will inevitably require your attention. At ETQ, you’ll report directly to the CEO, and must be able to partner with everyone from that CEO to the most junior of employees.

 

What to expect

  • Lead the development and execution of the People Ops strategic plan with a 1-3 year horizon. This includes:
    • Developing a long-term plan for hiring and retaining great people
    • Build a plan that will enable and encourage high potential new hires and tenured employees to grow their skills set
    • Drive market based and comprehensive compensation and benefits offerings that enable ETQ to support its drive to hire and retain the best available talent
    • Ensures compliance with all country, state and local laws and regulatory requirements
    • Support the executive team and the Board of Directors in their leadership efforts
  • Work within a small People Ops team to build a culture of accountability and performance, and drive towards the goals set forth in the above plan
  • Will work hands on to achieve these objectives much of the time

 

What you need to succeed

  • 5+ years of experience working in HR leadership within the Boston Tech Startup scene. Must have grown a company from 50-150 employees to over 500 employees
  • Must have a deep reservoir of knowledge and skills in Compensation, Benefits Administration, Employee Engagement and Employment Law, across multiple jurisdictions both domestically and internationally. Must be able to serve as subject matter expert in all of these areas
  • Previous work supporting for a CEO or Board of Directors is required
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master’s degree in Human Resources is preferred
