Who we are

Drizly is the world’s largest alcohol marketplace and the best way to shop beer, wine and spirits. Our customers trust us to be part of their lives – their celebrations, parties, dinners and quiet nights at home. We are there when it matters - committed to life’s moments and the people who create them. We partner with the best retail stores in over 1300 cities across North America to serve up the best buying experience. Drizly offers a huge selection and competitive pricing with a side of personalized content. That is what we do. Who we are is a different story.

We are more than just another tech company. There is an intellectual curiosity that occurs at Drizly. We have a desire to question, to understand, to figure it out. Bottom line, we solve it. We value not just the truth but the process to get to the truth, to deliberate, decide and then act. Most importantly, we care. We care about our customer. We care about our company. We care about our team. There will be long days and incredible challenges.

We are blazing a trail in an industry that hasn’t changed in nearly a century, and that doesn’t scare us (well, not all the time) -and even when it does, it doesn’t stop us, it energizes us.

Do you see yourself here? Read on.

Who you are

You are an intrinsically motivated professional who is fiercely driven to achieve results, and whose motivation is outmatched only by an unbridled passion for helping companies grow their teams with the best talent. Co-workers would describe you as “really caring about your work” and someone that “has a great eye for talent.” You’re also known to be trustworthy with your colleagues and partners by following a tight process and ensuring alignment.

“Recruiting” is not a dirty word for you. Instead, it means you are a partner to the business, taking your job seriously to find the right talent based on good judgment, following a flexible process, and knowing when to roll up your sleeves and source for candidates. You can strike a balance between being service-oriented to your hiring partners and having the courage to be the owner of process and outcomes. Sometimes that means making hard decisions or respectfully challenging other points of view. You are a planner that thrives on optimization knowing there’s always another iteration to be made to achieve better results, and if not, that’s OK for you. You pivot.

Above all, you are driven to deliver for your customers, internally and externally, setting the right priorities for yourself, and balancing several stakeholders at a manager level or above.

You have 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience including intaking roles, sourcing, and closing at a high volume (owning 5+ different reqs. at any given time) and have also impacted broader strategies for a team or department beyond the activities that go into recruiting.

What the role is

As a Technical Talent Acquisition Partner, you will play a critical part in Drizly’s rapid growth by joining the Talent Acquisition team to hit aggressive hiring goals in pursuit of doubling the engineering org. across the country by end of 2021. By working with several engineering hiring managers, you will operate as a partner by owning process and driving outcomes. This will include directing strategies using Drizly’s historical hiring data and market trends, crafting thoughtful hiring plans, coaching hiring partners and interview committees, and executing on the recruiting tasks to build and maintain a strong diverse candidate pool.

You will join a high output Talent Acquisition team as a co-owner of who and how we hire for our engineering, something we take very seriously. This means working with the Talent Acquisition Manager, Technical Talent Acquisition Team lead, and several hiring managers as their thought partner. You will also model the behaviors and values the People Operations team holds itself to, in order to cultivate an inclusive environment where a diverse set of people can and want to do their best work.

In this role you will:

  • Own the full-cycle, national recruiting strategy for various engineer roles including Staff, Senior, and standard level Software Engineer roles
  • Drive the efforts to help diversify our engineering team through sourcing and other strategies that create equitable pathways for underserved and underrepresented populations
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to other Technical Sourcers
  • Partner with hiring managers and interview committees on sourcing strategies and other elements of the hiring process to ensure quality hires and efficiency at scale (i.e. 6+ hires/ quarter individually). This includes reporting, process improvements, coaching interviewers, and more
  • Flex into other areas of Talent Acquisition, such as employer brand, and support your teammates on other People Operations initiatives

The Other Stuff:

  • Salary Range: $62,000 - $98,000 depending on location
  • One-on-one professional coaching with an external expert
  • Health, Dental and Vision Insurance
  • Flexible vacation policy
  • Commuter benefits
  • 401(K) Plan
  • Added perks

You do you.

Drizly is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status

An Insider's view of Drizly

What’s the vibe like in the office?

Working at Drizly is unlike anywhere I have ever worked before. We are a welcoming bunch of super intelligent people that are all working towards the same goals. We have a lively and dynamic atmosphere where we encourage people to truly be themselves. We have a ton fun, but we do what we're here to do- make Drizly the option for alcohol, period.

Shawn

Account Executive

How do you collaborate with other teams in the company?

I work closely with the product and engineering teams on a daily basis to design features for the people who use our products. I often loop in other teams to get their expertise on our users and different parts of the business. Everyone is constantly striving to make improvements and I get great ideas from people on every team at Drizly.

Annalyse

Product Designer

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

I identified a need for deeper knowledge of alcohol when I joined Drizly’s Customer Experience team 2 years ago. With the support & encouragement of my team, I became our first Certified Cicerone® taking a new role in Category Management. Now I'm leveraging my unique experience to help build the best-in-class catalog for alcohol one beer at a time.

Talia

Merchandising Associate

How do you make yourself accessible to the rest of the team?

As I work on complex policies and laws in the alcohol space, I try to speak very plainly when explaining the history and concepts that matter to Drizly so people don’t feel intimidated. I also try to participate in as many company events and Slack discussions that I can to build relationships which should translate to being more accessible overall.

Jaci

Vice President, Legal, Regulatory & Industry Affairs

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

I have helped out on the frontend, been on our infrastructure team, and worked extensively with our Rails API. In all of these roles I got to learn while doing high impact work. More recently, I was given the opportunity to be a technical lead. Drizly has made me a solid generalist that can help drive a startup’s tech forward.

Will

Senior Software Engineer
