The ServiceNow Developer will be part of the People Technology Team (HRIS). They will be a key team member on HRSD ServiceNow implementation to provide guidance and share best practices. Post implementation, they will provide ongoing support for the application as the technical resource. The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years of ServiceNow developer/technical experience and 2-3 years of general developer/technical, or business experience, with a preference in HR technology space or supporting HR groups.
Responsibilities:
ServiceNow Implementation
- Participate in design sessions and provide guidance and input on best practices
- Review design and architecture to ensure best practices are utilized
- Provide guidance and support during testing.
ServiceNow Ongoing Support and Development
- Performs day to day ServiceNow administration and production support, including workflow changes, and creation/updates to templates, tables, fields, catalog items, forms and notifications
- Creates and maintains ServiceNow landing pages, reports, and dashboards
- Knowledge in JavaScript and scripting in ServiceNow
- Understanding of Flow Designer
- Supports security configuration and controls access to the application and its records
- Supports inbound/outbound integrations
- Proactively stays up to date in platform capabilities, research and recommend use of new ServiceNow platform features/plugins, to improve the user experience, improve process quality, and educate new team members.
- Creates and maintains system documentation and end-user training
- Updates and maintains internal optimization and enhancement roadmap for ServiceNow, and drives continuous improvements to processes and services
- Exercises judgment with procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 1-2 years of ServiceNow developer/technical experience, preferably with ServiceNow’s HRSD product
- 2-3 years of developer, technical, or business experience, with a preference in HR technology space or supporting HR groups.
- Handle confidential materials with discretion
- Strong attention to detail
Preferred Skills/Ability
- ServiceNow Advanced Administrator certification
- Knowledge of or experience with Agile methodologies
- Knowledge of or experience with Design Thinking methodology
- BA/BS degree
