The role of the Senior Tech Recruiter is to partner with the Tech department and other members of the People team to efficiently and thoughtfully hire a large volume of tech professionals. In particular, you will work closely with the Engineering team to support their rapidly growing team and hire Engineers of all levels, leveraging your prior knowledge of the local tech community. This role will be a core part of tech recruiting and talent brand and will require outstanding people skills, a strong ability to execute, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 


Responsibilities:

  • Be a thought partner to CTO and Engineering hiring managers to successfully lead recruiting efforts for open roles
    • Be a strategic partner to hiring managers on building technology teams and meeting hiring needs (with primary focus on Engineering teams)
    • Define and execute immediate strategies for sourcing strong tech candidates
    • Meet with VP of Engineering and Director or People Operations to review and provide guidance on tech compensation matrix
    • Meet weekly with tech hiring managers to drive efficient progress on all roles, creating decks to report metrics and data
    • Contribute to new ideas for improving the recruiting process
  • Become an expert on Indigo’s recruiting process and provide leverage to hiring managers for all open tech roles (primarily Engineering)
    • Understand Indigo’s overall recruiting process and facilitate various meetings as needed
    • Actively source strong tech candidates for key open engineering positions
    • Within 2 weeks, successfully screen candidates at top of the funnel so hiring managers only see a strong subset of technically capable candidates
    • Confidently conduct in-person interviews and reference calls
    • Manage technology used to complement hiring process including digital interviews, relocation software, and assessment tools
    • Command a strong attentional to detail regarding budget and headcount
    • Manage additional recruiting projects as needed
  • Establish a strong presence for Indigo at selected top-tier tech undergraduate and graduate programs
    • Work with team to build excellent partnerships with career departments on campus
    • Build excellent relationships with tech clubs on campus
    • Understand timelines so that Indigo effectively recruits at key points in the campus life cycle
    • Represent Indigo on campus as one of the most desirable places to work for tech grads
  • Indigo’s talent brand has an outstanding reputation
    • Identify key tech conferences, events and meetups where Indigo should have a strong presence to build the brand, and ensure strong Indigo representation at these events
    • Organize engineering meetup for Indigo to host
    • Work closely with Head of People and CTO to create strong content for Indigo brand, with an emphasis on tech space
    • Manage content on Glassdoor and Linkedin and update regularly
    • Ensure an exceptional recruiting experience for candidates and for Indigo employees
  • Communicate Indigo’s story in a clear and compelling way that excites candidates
    • Learn the Indigo story, key elements of the talent brand proposition, and demonstrate strong ability to communicate the story and reasons to work at Indigo
    • Ensure any external recruiter partners know the Indigo story and are seen as an extension of the Indigo Recruiting team
    • Indigo is seen as the most exciting place to work

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 (minimum) in a full cycle tech recruiting role at a fast-paced growth company, in the Boston market
    • Proven experience hiring software engineers of all levels required
  • Strong network and understanding of the professional tech community in the Boston area
    • Proven experience collaborating with strong tech undergraduate programs
    • Strong familiarity with Boston meetup community and opportunities; experience organizing meetups strongly preferred
  • Startup, high-growth experience strongly preferred
  • Proven track record with sourcing tech candidates from a variety of talent pools
  • Demonstrated passion for building tech talent brand in a growing organization
  • Bachelor’s degree with demonstrated record of strong academic achievement

Location

On the edge of Charlestown, we are within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The Sullivan Square T and bus stop is also right next door! We are currently working remote/hybrid with the exception of our fantastic Biotrinsic team who work from the office and lab space here.
