Senior Manager, Future of Work

Responsibilities:

The mission of Indigo Learning is to enable high-velocity experimentation at scale by relentlessly inspiring, developing, and accelerating our people. Since learning is considered a core part of the DNA at Indigo, the learning leadership team is closely linked to the strategy and operations of Indigo’s core business. As a result, Indigo is building a highly strategic Learning leadership team. The Senior Manager, Future of Work role will span all functions at Indigo and will be a leader in creating and implementing a bold new vision for work. This role is based in our headquarters in Boston, MA. Specifically, this role will:

Build a mission and vision for “The Future of Work” at Indigo

  • Be a leading industry thought partner in reinventing work at scale – including the People systems, processes, and methods by which people grow and develop at work
  • Build a movement at Indigo around the value of “Future of Work” and skills-based cultures

Design modern People systems and processes that inspire high performance and motivation at scale

  • Own skills maps, career paths, and supporting systems for all roles at Indigo
  • Create reporting, tools and processes that enable our people to understand the definition of high performance in their role
  • Build transparency into “project demand” across Indigo and design ways to match demand to talent

Implement solutions that make Indigo a world-class organization to develop professionally

  • Ensure all managers have the data, tools and skills to have conversations about career development with their teams
  • Ensure all of Indigo’s people understand their existing skill sets and where they can develop over time

  • Takes abstract concepts and converts them into actionable, implementable pieces
  • Effective working cross-functionally with different stakeholders and teams
  • Can build and manage project timelines effectively
  • Understands the strategy, research, and support behind the “future of work” movement
  • Experience in designing career ladders (or equivalent)
  • Excellent teamwork and communication
  • Hunger for exploring new technologies related to People and Learning (experience with modern HR technologies a plus)

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of work experience
  • Previous experience in industrial setting preferably with a science or biotech organization
  • Familiarity with HR tech space a plus
  • Expertise in modern People systems (non-technical) e.g. career maps/skills maps
  • Experience in reporting/data analytics w/ HR information systems
  • Has worked with clients or internally to implement internal corporate systems
  • Experience working in global role/company a plus

Location

On the edge of Charlestown, we are within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The Sullivan Square T and bus stop is also right next door! We are currently working remote/hybrid with the exception of our fantastic Biotrinsic team who work from the office and lab space here.
