Senior Manager, Compensation
SharkNinja is seeking a Senior Manager, Compensation to join our team, reporting to the Vice President, Global P&C Operations. This position plays strategic role in the implementation and design, and administration of SharkNinja’s compensation structures, including annual base salary and incentive programs. The role will partner with Global HR colleagues including the extended HR Team, HRBPs, Talent Acquisition team as well as Business Leaders to provide advice and guidance in all areas of compensation. This is a high profile role that is responsible for developing and implementing global compensation strategies, fostering standard methodologies, and driving operational excellence. This is a pitch-in and roll up your sleeves role that allows you to create, design, own and implement as well as influence, partner and lead the Compensation function at SharkNinja.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with the VP, Global P&C on the global compensation strategy and design of SharkNinja’s compensation programs
- Lead the global annual compensation planning process including merit and bonus programs, including reporting out on the outcomes of the programs.
- Strategic advisor to HR Ops & Business Partners, Talent Acquisition and HR leadership regarding market dynamics, trends and implications for compensation programs and strategies.
- Lead salary survey benchmarking, marketing pricing and analysis to support the businesses in remaining competitive in the labor market
- Ensure compensation related systems are set up appropriately, maintained and are consistently reflective of updated information.
- Lead the ongoing maintenance and creation of Job Families, Job Profiles and Compensation Grade Profiles within the HRIS, including providing guidance to HR and the business.
- Partner closely with the talent acquisition team in supporting our recruiting efforts, which will include providing guidance, analysis and support on offers to candidates.
- Lead compensation activities related to organization initiatives such as organizational changes, talent strategy changes, and job evaluations.
- Conduct internal and external data analysis to review and update guidance and policies including merit budgets, merit matrix, guidance on promotional increases and guidance on market adjustments.
- Develop insights to analyze effectiveness of our compensation programs, and recommend strategic solutions to support total rewards strategy
- Perform statistical/data analysis (inclusive of data modeling) that supports various HR & Compensation related topics.
- Performs ad hoc analysis related to executive compensation programs
- Strong Knowledge of compensation regulatory requirements including the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and pay equity laws.
- Other job duties as needed.
This role will require coming into our Needham, MA office on an as needed basis to meet with the business and build relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7-10+ years of previous compensation experience in mid-size, entrepreneurial and ambitious mindset and/or startup organizations;
- CCP certification desired
- Extensive use and knowledge of Radford or other external Salary Survey Tools
- Experience building and/or rebuilding a Compensation Structure including global grading, leveling
- Experience in the implementation of Compensation Module in HRIS systems
- Advanced Excel skills; modeling, & pivot tables. Ability to create dynamic tools and models to interpret and analyze data. Experience in PowerPoint
- Excellent business acumen, strong strategic planning, relationship building and analytical skills
- Strong presentation skills with ability to communicate complex information in narrative and visual form that is easily understood
- Strong ability to balance strategic and operational tasks with strong organizational and time management skills. Must be able to manage risk and ambiguity, define scope, and handle multiple priorities and internal client expectations to meet objectives.
- Global compensation experience heavily desired (specifically UK & China)
