We’re looking for a People Operations Manager to help our team of self-starting, mission-driven individuals grow and thrive. As a core member of Bevi’s small People Operations team, our People Ops Manager will improve the employee experience at Bevi by helping to ensure that every step of the employee lifecycle, as well as our culture and workplace, are best in class and getting better every day. Our People Ops Manager will have the opportunity to build upon past experience in Talent and HR, and will also have the opportunity to grow new skills in areas that are of interest to them. This role is based out of our Boston (currently Charlestown) office at least 2-3 days per week (more if desired!), works closely with Talent Acquisition and our Office Manager, and reports directly to Bevi’s VP of People.

What you will do:

• Manage an array of people operations functions (onboarding, training, performance evaluation, employee relations, recognition, benefits), by bringing experience and ideas to the table and then getting hands-on to operationalize
• Use data and strong research skills to make informed recommendations on company policies, procedures, and ways to continually improve our employer brand and offerings
• Refine and maintain people analytics and reporting
• Build and continually improve onboarding and orientation processes
• Support strategy and execution of our performance management process: evaluation, calibration, compensation; refine our functional career paths and internal banding processes
• Assist in driving widespread adoption of our Core Values, and promote a culture of empowerment and trust; implement and reinforce recognition programs
• Understand both internal and external drivers of employee attrition, and make strategic recommendations to improve retention across diverse levels & functions
• Support office initiatives in relation to HQ space planning and facilities
• Assist in confidential employee relations matters, using a high degree of EQ and discretion to navigate sensitive situations
• Assist in benchmarking and administering a competitive benefits program; assist in administering our HRIS and all workflows contained therein
• Partner with external legal counsel for all immigration-related matters (visa applications, transfers, etc)
• Support compliance with state and federal employment laws and audits
• Communicate knowledgeably and compellingly about Bevi and our product, and explore new opportunities and mechanisms to better communicate Bevi’s employer brand

Requirements

• 5+ years prior experience in Talent, HR or People Operations, or equivalent combination of experience and education. Prior experience at a start-up in high-growth mode (SaaS or otherwise) is a plus
• Ability, drive, and process management skills to see initiatives from vision to implementation
• Maturity, efficiency and discretion in handling employee relations issues
• Experience or interest in benefits, payroll and 401(k) administration
• Ability to juggle many moving pieces, and quickly pivot from one priority to another
• Ability to drive work independently and individually with limited oversight
• Ability to identify appropriate stakeholders and get diverse buy-in
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and impeccable attention to detail
• Genuine interest in people and their careers, and desire to connect with people on professional and personal levels
