Runkeeper is looking for a People Operations Lead to join our team. We are looking for someone who wants to innovate within the HR space. You will be leading people operations for a high growth startup culture supported by the resources of a multi-national business and brand (ASICS!). We are are a small, nimble team that is now the digital arm of a global company. While you will be focused on Runkeeper, you will need to collaborate with teams across all of Global ASICS.

In this role, you will be a coach and mentor to our growing team. This position is about developing people and culture. The problem we have to solve is preserving our great environment and supportive culture as we scale up. It may sound like a cliche, but people here genuinely love coming to work. We want to make sure that doesn’t change even while we scale and evolve as a business and you will be a key part of that.

Our app transforms your phone into a personal trainer, helping you track your activities, set your goals, and stay motivated to go that extra mile.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead our organization through core HR processes (e.g., performance management, compensation planning, engagement surveys)
  • Assist with outlining and executing the employee benefits strategy
  • Advise leadership on people-related strategy and decisions (including organizational design, planning, and compensation)
  • Provide coaching and develop leadership skills
  • Identify strategic recruiting opportunities including sourcing plan, competitive analysis, and the best methods to close the best talent
  • Partner with hiring/budget managers to align budget with spend on staffing needs; work w/recruiters to ensure alignment to workforce plan
  • Collaborate within the team to develop company-wide strategies and programs based on data insights and contemporary organization and people performance theory
  • Proactively manage legal risk; ensures manager and employee compliance with company policies and procedures, and governmental regulations
  • Proactively respond to employee questions regarding but not limited to the following: employee relations, company policies, learning and development

Qualifications:

  • HR generalist skills, including employee relations and employment law, staffing, and performance management
  • Strong consulting and coaching skills and the ability to build strong relationships with different people across the organization, both locally and internationally
  • Strong mindset for continuous improvement
  • A strong, results-focused ability to quickly identify problems and drive appropriate solutions
  • 5+ years HR management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in related field; Master's degree or MBA in a Human Resources-related discipline preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with compensation modeling and pay structure design
