Appcues is seeking to hire a passionate People Operations Generalist who will own all activities in support of employee engagement, experience, culture and values alignment. We are growing fast and have big plans. Your mission is to ensure that we continuously improve our exceptional remote culture and team while we grow.

About the role

    • As our People Operations Generalist your primary objective will be to assist our executive team to continue to improve employee experience and engagement.
    • You will develop and manage a plan for employee activities that sustain and improve our remote culture
    • You will identify educational opportunities and programs for our employees professional growth.
    • You will be a trusted advisor for employee issues and a liaison to the management team to ensure any concerns or opportunities are heard and addressed.
    • You will work with our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) team to increase awareness, advocacy, and impact.
    • You will refine and manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, working with our security and management team.
    • You will partner with hiring managers to help our recruiting efforts in order to meet our hiring goals
    • You will assist the executive team to strengthen and improve our culture in alignment with our strategic goals, and assist with ongoing compensation analysis and performance management.
    • You will organize and lead the efforts for two annual company-wide retreats per year.

About you

    • You have 3+ years of experience working at a remote-first company.
    • You have a proven track record of nurturing and improving employee engagement, culture and company-values.
    • You have exceptional emotional intelligence as regularly demonstrated through active, empathetic listening and follow up.
    • You are excited about taking on projects that are outside of your comfort zone to grow as a professional.
    • You have handled complex or nuanced HR issues so that both employee and employer walk away satisfied.
    • You are creative and resourceful. You enjoy experimenting with different approaches to create the best possible employee experience.
    • You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves to get things done
    • You are not deterred by the prospect of taking on difficult challenges, the outcomes of which will directly impact our ability to hire, develop and retain our employees.
    • You are self-motivated and passionate about improving the employee experience and engagement to ensure Appcues continues to have an exceptional remote culture as we grow.
    • You have assisted with recruiting initiatives in some capacity.
    • You are competitive. At the end of the day, you want to ensure the company's success by bringing out the best in people, having fun along the way.

100% remote - We don’t have an office which ensures all of our employees learn and collaborate in the same way using remote work practices. This won't change post-COVID as we are committed to being 100% remote for the long-term. We work in Slack, Zoom, and a collection of modern collaboration tools.
