People Analytics Lead
Role:
People Analytics Lead has primary responsibility for setting the strategy and vision and for managing the day-to-day operations of the HR Analytics beyond data collection and analyses, developing a direct link between workforce insights and decisions.
This role, with the use of data and insights will help drive people and culture strategies and decisions, solve complex organizational challenges through people-related KPIs, analysis, and diagnostics and communicate the results, including the use of Informatics, that informs and drives the organization to action & decisions.

This strategic work will enable MassMutual to talk about human capital in business terms and use data and insights to help make important people decisions.
- Build a People Analytics function beginning with setting up comprehensive strategy, vision and three year roadmap with a goal of inspiring, influencing, and shaping business decisions by embedding analytics in key processes so decision makers have access to the critical pieces of information
- Build, lead and develop a high performing team to meet the data and analytics needs of the HR organization
- Provide thought leadership on the complete cycle of talent analytics, from sourcing, hiring, training, development, diversity, retention, performance measurement, compensation, effectiveness of talent management strategies, organizational health, culture and exit information by providing actionable, data based guidance on these key talent areas and benchmarking against external industry
- Develop people related KPIs, dashboards and forecast reports to scale analytics & insights to the organization
- Develop employee predictive analytics to identify significant differences, relationships, and trends in data.
- Translate data and trends into strategies and stories to achieve objectives for resource optimization
- Create complex data models and performing analysis to identify trends used for actionable insights and workforce decision-making
- Partner across HR to understand and deliver on our collective data needs from standard reporting, workforce planning support, to organizational analysis and recommendations
- Partner closely with HRIS and IT organization to identify and deploy tools and technology aligned with strategy , vision and organizational needs
- Provide coaching and training on the use and interpretation of data and storytelling using data insights
- Develop and maintain appropriate benchmarks with other organizations
- Build a transparent governance model for use of people data beyond compliance requirements
- Demonstrate good judgment and discretion in dealing with highly sensitive data
Experience :
The role requires use of data to guide your work, be comfortable challenging convention and in some cases, reinvent how work is done. Ability to connect data, insights to business outcomes is also key to success.
- 10+ years of related experience in people analytics, business intelligence or market insights at a leadership level
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS , Applied Mathematics, Statistics or Actuarial Science required; MBA is preferred
- Strategic orientation and demonstrated ability to build complex statistical models needed to understand issues at a detailed level and forecast impacts of change
- Have led the interpretation of statistical data in a simplified and understandable way to non-experts (both written and verbally) in the form of graphs, charts, tables and storyboards
- Demonstrable partnership and influencing skills and ability to anticipate problems and opportunities and the initiative to pursue solutions
- Extraordinary analytical skills, mastery of business intelligence or related discipline, along with critical thinking skills in formulating hypotheses, interpreting results, and being able to make educated guesses when data may be sparse or unavailable
- Attention to detail is a must and you have experience working in high-growth, performance focused environments with the ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
- Ability to lead a team and work autonomously, leading large-scale projects in a fast-paced organization
- Excellent executive presentation skills with the ability to distill and present actionable information from complex research
