Manager of Talent Management
Klaviyo is looking for a Manager of Talent Management to drive our ongoing and new people programs forward, including performance management, succession planning, internal mobility, employee engagement, and career development. This role is critical in shaping and scaling our culture as we continue to grow rapidly. You'll report directly to the Director of the Talent Management Center of Excellence (COE).

You will be responsible for design, development and execution of initiatives and programs for Klaviyo employees, managers and leaders (at all levels) around the globe. You will work closely with our People Operations leaders to design and execute the programs and solutions for talent management initiatives. We are looking for someone with a strong performance management background and experience in organization development is a plus!
In this role you'll get to:
Own:
- Talent Planning (critical talent assessment, capability and competency management, succession planning, internal mobility approach, career pathing)
- Performance Management (full PM process including calibrations, role proficiency, performance improvement approach, promotions)
Do:
- Design, develop, implement, and manage Talent Management programs by identifying needs, securing resources, and prioritizing work.
- Oversee program and project management of initiatives: define project plans, roles, and responsibilities, manage implementation activities, develop processes, documentation, and communications for rollouts and ongoing management.
- Manage multiple stakeholders, collaborate across the People team, other departments, and external partners. Oversee alignment and coordination of the execution of programs across the team.
- Create employee communications: branding and marketing materials, communicate clear processes, and enable ongoing adoption between cycles.
- Develop and implement change management plans for key talent programs to drive smooth adoption.
- Build overall talent philosophy across Klaviyo, ensure proper documentation and alignment to senior leadership.
- Define key performance metrics: develop metrics, and track delivery against program objectives, and compile key insights on the impact of programs.
- Continue to collect feedback, iterate, and make positive improvements based on collected feedback
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 7+ years of Performance Management, Talent Management and People (HR) experience combined
- Experience in leading Performance Management and Talent Planning processes
- Excellent program development and management skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence others and collaborate with cross-functional partners
- Proven ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, work independently and deliver results in a complex, global, and fast-paced organization
- Expertise in navigating within ambiguous situations, with high levels of autonomy
- Able to deal with change and desire to make a difference is paramount, we are looking for someone who loves to build from the ground up
- Someone who is passionate about the development of people, scrappy, solutions-focused, and creative
- Current, in-depth knowledge of Performance Management best practices and trends, willing to think outside the box as needed
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation and storytelling skills; must be capable of communicating information to diverse audiences in a virtual environment
- Data-driven with a skill for telling a story with data
- Strong business acumen and a track record of successfully partnering with HR Business Partners, DEI teams, and business leaders through to execution
- Ability to create effective partnerships at all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, consulting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to take multiple and complex inputs and concepts and distill into simple, relevant, and executable strategies that are easy-to-execute and drive impact
Bonus points:
- Prior usage of Performance Management and Talent Planning modules in Workday
Minimum Qualifications - Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 7+ years of Performance Management, Talent Management and People (HR) experience combined
- Experience leading large scale, strategic talent initiatives requiring analytical insights
- Subject matter expertise in talent management and performance management
- A solutions-focused mindset and ability to work in an environment which demands the ability to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions
