Indigo’s People Team is looking for an experienced Learning & Development (L&D) Manager to design and lead our growing learning program portfolio, including New Hire Training and Manager Essentials, while helping the company get the most out of a soon-to-be launched digital learning tool. This role is part of the Organizational Development & Analytics team (within the People Team), which leads company-wide efforts around L&D, diversity, equity, and inclusion, talent management, performance management, and people analytics. The L&D Manager will play a critical role in helping Indigo achieve its ambitious vision of building the infrastructure and programming required to support unparalleled career growth for employees across the company and will have the opportunity to shape our long-term organizational development strategy.

The ideal candidate has expertise in program design, facilitation, learning technology products, project management, and impact measurement. We are looking for an inclusive, creative thinker who can navigate tradeoffs in a fast-paced environment while keeping a laser focus on driving outcomes for learners and the business.

Responsibilities

Strategy Development & Implementation:

  • Partner with the Senior Manager, Organizational Development & Analytics to define a multi-year L&D strategy and roadmap that will guide the team’s work
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, including People Business Partners and business leaders, to identify learning needs and design relevant, actionable solutions
  • Lead the design and facilitation of impactful learning across different contexts and modalities, including live sessions (in-person and virtual) as well as supporting cohort-based learning programs (e.g., mentorship program, new manager circles)

Continuous Improvement:

  • Designs and implements impact measurement approach with a customer-centric mindset to help understand the effectiveness and ROI of learning programs, including regular reporting for People Team leadership
  • Reviews existing learning technology stack and identifies opportunities for improvement
  • Supports diversity, equity, and inclusion learning efforts by providing expertise on learning experience design, facilitation techniques, impact measurement, and more

Transparency & Communication:

  • Own the roadmap and calendar of training events and ensure proper & constant visibility to all Indigo employees, including international candidatescolleagues.
  • Create copy and communications for participant pre-reads ahead of training events. Determine efficacy of programs and improve communications through NPS scores and feedback.Design and lead a marketing strategy to drive registrations for live learning events and engagement with asynchronous learning opportunities

Vendor Management:

  • Work closely with Indigo’s procurement team to manage current and future vendors as needs ariseexisting relationships with vendors while designing a long-term partner strategy (e.g., content, technology, etc.)

Other Organizational Development Efforts:

  • Support talent and performance management, employee engagement, and DEI efforts as needed

  • Expert-level verbal and written communication skills that deliver structured, concise messages

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of progressive L&D, leadership development, or organizational development experience; however, we encourage candidates with experience in other business functions (e.g., marketing, operations, etc.) or more non-traditional backgrounds (e.g., teaching) to apply as well.
  • Comfort with in designing and facilitating adult learning experiences across many contexts, including live sessions (in-person and virtual), peer-to-peer learning, self-paced programs, and more
  • Expert-level facilitation skills that translate across settings (e.g., in-person workshops, virtual sessions, etc.)
  • Experience designing, analyzing, and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data to determine the effectiveness of learning programs
  • Experience working with common learning technology tools (e.g., Zoom, Slack, and LMS products, etc.)

Location

On the edge of Charlestown, we are within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The Sullivan Square T and bus stop is also right next door! We are currently working remote/hybrid with the exception of our fantastic Biotrinsic team who work from the office and lab space here.
