We have had great success in recent years distributing our annuity and life-LTC combination products through our financial institution relationships. To further this success, we must evolve our strategy to reach more customers where they are, on their terms, with the products they need. For that reason, we are pleased to announce that MassMutual will be forming a dedicated third-party distribution channel, MassMutual Strategic Distributors (MMSD). MMSD will continue to build on the annuity and life-LTC combination strategy and expand the product solution offering to include life and disability insurance.
MMSD?s strategy is to aggressively grow top line sales by expanding existing and establishing new partnerships with financial institutions (wire houses, banks, broker-dealers) and making significant investments in technology, sales, operations, marketing and product development. Our strategy will be driven by dedicated teams across the enterprise where we will prioritize a dynamic, agile, and entrepreneurial culture.

As a life insurance and disability insurance Sales Learning and Performance Consultant for the third-party distribution channel (MMSD) you?ll have an opportunity to develop and deliver sales and competition training for internal and external audiences. What success looks like.
- Effective collaboration with life insurance and disability insurance sales leadership and key account leadership in the development of a training and executions plan to meet their defined learning and performance objectives.
- Increased awareness and expansion of MassMutual?s life insurance and disability insurance product solutions through third-party distributors.
- Leading content development and facilitation of training meeting the needs of internal and external audiences.
What your days and weeks will include.
- Create and deliver an effective training program and materials to increase knowledge and aptitude of MassMutual Life Insurance and Disability Insurance products, competition and solutions/strategies knowledge
- Effectively deliver training to multiple sales team audiences including external wholesalers, internal wholesalers, key account and sales team management
- Partnering with sales and key account leadership when external training needs are identified
- Managing training for onboarding for new associates and for our strategic partners
- Utilize multiple mediums of training delivery including but limited to in person, webinar, digital platforms, podcasts etc.
- Building strong relationships, reputation, credibility, and influence with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to become a trusted professional development partner
- Displaying a continuous learning mindset, constantly seeking further expertise in the learning discipline and identifying creative opportunities to bring that expertise to the team?s work. .
Qualifications:
- 5+ years collaborating with sales leadership, key account leadership and other key stakeholders to develop a learning plan and execute against it, preferably in life insurance and/or disability insurance industry in a sales, marketing, or training role
- Proven record of effective, innovative, and efficient learning solutions
- Strong working knowledge of financial services industry and third-party distribution??
- Highly motivated to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong creative, written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Excellent time management skills, displaying a strong sense of urgency and the ability to quickly manage, adjust and deliver on competing priorities without compromising quality
- Excellent influencing, consultative and relationship building skills with all levels of organization
- Ability to travel
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
