The Director, Learning and Development will develop, drive, and deliver learning experiences from strategy through execution. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of People, you will develop our virtual/hybrid learning initiatives, deliver learning in a transforming culture that prioritizes operational excellence and scale. You will have an impact on how every Devo grows from the day they are onboard thru to how our Leaders lead their teams. This high-visibility, high-value work will have a clear and lasting impact on Devo's culture and business success.

You will partner with functional learning and enablement teams (e.g., Field Sales and Engineering) and employee experience teams to ensure a coherent experience for all Devo's. Collaborating with these teams, you'll leverage the current learning architecture (JunoJourney) and contribute to how we evolve our learning architecture to propel the organization's capabilities to support the Devo's need for rapid scaling.

Responsibilities

  • Own the development and delivery of learning experiences for all Devo's at all levels - creating an impactful suite of ongoing learning experiences using relevant research and variety of mediums to drive learning goals.
  • Lead the design and implementation of products to support manager fundamentals as well as executive development.
  • Create learning experiences that will enable our leaders to develop their team members and build high-impact teams in alignment with Devo's business strategy.
  • Refine and scale executive development and mentoring strategies to ensure efficient use of coaches and platforms.
  • Lead and develop all learning and development initiatives and oversee an operational budget to support effective use of outside vendors and resources.
  • Leverage scalable and current approaches to learning to ensure that we are keeping data and clients at the core and are making measurable business impact.
  • Collaborate with business and People team leadership to assess needs, identify gaps, and prioritize resulting learning experiences.
  • Partner with the Program Management team to ensure programs go to market as thoughtful, integrated solutions at scale.
  • Coordinate and ensure effectiveness of learning technologies with Devo People Operations Team.
  • Develop partnerships with outside vendors and internal functional learning organizations.

Requirements

You are:

  • A design thinker, who is client-centric and passionate about helping people learn and grow, at all levels.
  • Data-centric and able to leverage relevant research to design and deliver impactful learning experiences.
  • Deft at balancing being hands on while leading and developing teams to do the same.
  • A leader who thrives in a transforming environment, ambiguity and building effective solutions that scale and work through in person and remote environments.
  • A simple, clear, and consistent communicator with strong leadership and product vision and management capabilities.

You have:

  • 7+ years of experience in leadership roles focused on learning and/or leadership development.
  • Deep knowledge of how people learn/change behaviors and how to deliver large-scale programs and interventions.
  • Proven expertise in using data to inform decisions on effectiveness of development experiences - and an understanding of what creates both learning and behavior change resulting in measurable improvement.
  • Experience using technology to curate and deliver high-impact learning.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate across organizations and with a vendor network to deliver successful learning and leadership development experiences.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's degree preferred (MBA, Human Resources, Learning, Leadership, etc.).
