Junior HR Business Partner

| Greater Boston Area

Working as part of the TripAdvisor People Operations team and reporting to the Sr. People Ops Business Partner, the HR advisor will be closely integrated with the respective businesses. This role will be responsible for supporting the execution of people initiatives, leveraging insights to improve business performance as well as deliver world-class employee experiences with a positive attitude. We are looking for a change agent, a high energy, passionate HR Advisor with a strong track record of managing stakeholders and ability to get stuff done.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with assigned People Ops team, ensure cohesive support of the broader business through understanding of the leadership strategy and demonstrating the ability to translate and execute operational objectives
  • Act as a culture champion, helping to deliver consistent messaging while also working with POBPs to highlight areas of strength as well as necessary improvements 
  • Build strong relationships with managers and their teams; provide coaching and counsel to leaders and associates within the defined client groups
  • Skilled management of Employee Relations issues and Performance Management issues within the client group and/or geography; partner effectively with legal counsel, Global / Regional POBPs and the business and exercise judgment in bringing to resolution
  • In partnership with the Service Delivery team, ensure all tactical execution of day-to-day HR services including but not limited to: Workday changes, requisition management and documentation of any changes
  • Partner effectively with other POBPs as well as other cross-functional COE teams in L&OD, Total Rewards and Talent Acquisition to develop and deliver best practices within the People Operations team
  • Act as a key driver in rolling out HR related initiatives, ensuring a high level of adoption through understanding core purpose as well as delivering excellent employee and managerial experience
  • Provide daily Human Resource guidance, advice, and support to employees and managers on all functional areas of HR
  • Maintain relationships and networks both internally and externally, staying current with the latest issues and trends within Human Resources

PERSON SPECIFICATION/SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources. 
  • Ability to work in an organization with a culture that emphasizes “speed wins,” yet does not sacrifice quality while working in this fast-paced environment. 
  • A positive, optimistic, action oriented individual with a ‘can do’ mentality and a solution-oriented mindset
  • A confident individual with learning agility who responds to feedback openly, always looking for ways to improve and learn new ways to do things more effectively
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills with an ability to articulate facts and ideas in a compelling and organized manner
  • A creative and pragmatic problem solver who can quickly distinguish between relevant and irrelevant information when addressing a situation
  • A person who possesses a passion for the business with a high level of intellectual curiosity about the critical issues to the organization and industry
  • A cross-functional collaborator that can leverage and influence stakeholders around the world to help drive the business
  • An ability to manage projects and multi task with ease

  • Substantial knowledge of HR policies and processes and employment laws
