We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Human Resources Manager to join our team and drive our culture forward as we grow and scale. Your experience in human resources will aid our organization in adding value to overall business objectives, providing HR solutions, retaining a talented workforce, administering benefits and ensuring compliance with regulations.

AS THE HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER YOU WILL: 

  • Be responsible for administering human resources policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Assist with all internal and external HR related matters.
  • Ensure compensation and benefits plans are cost-effective and competitive
  • Administer the organization’s benefits programs (e.g., retirement plans, leave policies, wellness programs, insurance policies, etc.)
  • Participate in developing organizational guidelines and procedures.
  • Recommend strategies to motivate employees and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Assist with the recruitment process, as needed.
  • Investigate and resolve complaints brought forward by employees.
  • Perform orientations and update records of new staff.
  • Manage the organization’s employee database.
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
  • Assist with budget monitoring and payroll.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.

SKILLS WE SEEK:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in human resources and benefits administration.
  • Fantastic knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with HRIS systems.
  • Remarkable organizational and conflict management skills.
  • Knowledge of Labor Law and employment equity regulations, or the willingness to learn.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.

WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU’LL:

  • Attend New Hire Orientation to understand the different department functions and learn what Dispatch is all about.
  • Start to establish strong relationships with the leadership team and employees.
  • Learn the ins and outs of our HRIS system and take ownership of the HR tech stack

WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Have a strong understanding of the business, and begin teaching us a thing or two we don’t know
  • Take full ownership of benefits administration accounts

WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Be viewed as an expert on all things HR, serving as the main point of contact internally and externally on HR related matters

WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Be a valued and reliable resource that consistently delivers value to the team.
