As an HR Business Partner, you will report to the Sr. Director of People, work closely with senior leadership and their teams to define and execute talent strategies, and have the ability to advance your career at a company that is high-growth, firmly established, and an industry leader. 

In this role, you will

  • Partner and collaborate with business leaders to provide consultative support in the areas of employee engagement, performance management, retention, employee relations, talent development, and compensation
  • Lead company-wide HR related programs including performance management, salary review, employee engagement, talent assessment, and workforce planning while proactively leveraging these programs for the best interests of the organization
  • Develop and execute initiatives across the employee journey to drive high employee engagement and foster programs to support the SmartBear culture
  • Lead Learning & Development programs to support the needs of the organization and support employee development
  • Recognize, investigate, and resolve employee relations issues in an effective and timely manner
  • Partner with other HR team members including HR Operations and Talent Acquisition to develop a strategic, integrated HR plan

Qualifications & Location

  • 2+ years previous experience as a HR Generalist or HR Business Partner
  • 5+ years professional experience in Human Resources
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field
  • HR Certification preferred

  •  Somerville, MA

Our office in located in Assembly Row overlooking the beautiful Mystic River surrounded by shopping, dining, and entertainment. We're conveniently located steps from the Assembly MBTA Orange line stop.

What’s the vibe like in the office?

I think the office space is great for people of all ages and tenures. It's a warm environment for everyone, but as a recent college graduate, it's nice being able to see others who are in my age bracket. The office is very open to conversation and is always willing to extend a helping hand. All in all, the vibes here are good!
