Job Description

Butterfly is seeking an HR Generalist who will provide ongoing support across a diverse client group, working directly with the Senior HR Business Partner and various teams and departments. As a member of our People team, the HR generalist is seen as the point person for all things people related, and as an escalation point to our cross functional partners across the people team, our employees, and managers.  The ideal candidate will contribute to cultivate an amazing and innovative culture. 

As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be: 

• Provide HR programmatic support and thought partnership.
• Serve as an escalation point and provide daily HR guidance to the organization, including but not limited to HR policies, employee relations matters, performance, and HR programs.
• Recognize thematic opportunities for efficiency and automation leveraging our current tools and partnering with People Operations, Recruiting, Corporate Functions and business functional stakeholders for process improvement.
• Build credibility within the organization and across the broader HR team, creating a space where employees feel comfortable approaching you directly, and ensuring visibility within assigned client groups and the broader HR team.
• Consult and advise to support the organization as it scales to optimize performance and people.
• Work closely with employees to cultivate a culture of strong working relationships with high morale, high productivity, and high retention.  
• Role-model and champion our company’s values to help shape the culture at Butterfly.
• Perform a broad variety of tasks in support of the role and responsibilities.

Qualifications

Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:

• 3+ years working in generalist capacity
• Relevant functional HR, Payroll, Benefits and Operations knowledge of best practices and how to keep an organization compliant
• Performs customer service functions by answering questions from employees around HR, Payroll, Benefits, Onboarding
• Build relationships and trust with key stakeholders through strong partnership, and the consistent, high quality and timely delivery of project
• Ability to tailor communication style to work well with stakeholders at all levels in the organization
• Great interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
• Effective communication and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated empathy and experience driving inclusion work
• Experience learning and thriving in a constantly changing environment and to cultivate relationships across teams
• Experience using data to identify insights that drive action
