This person will help in all functional areas of the Human Resources department, including onboarding, professional development, employee relations, HR operations and compliance. It is important that this person has scaled and built an HR department and is prepared to advocate for employees at the leadership level.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a scalable approach to HR Operations in line with Zagster's culture and people operations, including relevant programs around compensation, equity, benefits and performance reviews.
- Act as a liaison between company leadership and individual departments to advise on and implement data driven processes
- Proactively identify various HRIS technology solutions to make it easier for employees to get things done including management training, compensation input tools for managers, and onboarding process.
- Oversees the employee benefits program and directs the administration of medical, life, STD/LTD, COBRA, FMLA, time off policy, etc.
- Assess each business unit's management training needs and conduct 1:1 and group sessions as appropriate to ensure development initiatives for key and high potential employees while tracking career progressions.
- Responsible for performance management process and developing efficiencies in process
- Improve our onboarding process by establishing an HR training function and new hire orientation.
- Collaborate with department heads to promote ongoing learning within content areas
- Develop and rollout training initiatives on an ongoing basis and keep all material fresh and relevant.
- Be a central resource for all employees on any HR topics and questions as employee relations is a key component of this role.
About You:
- 7-10 years of ever expanding HR experience and responsibilities
- You’ve been at a rapidly growing startup and seen various stages of growth
- You are scrappy and are comfortable in a small rapidly growing environment
- You’re very comfortable with implementing structure and processes
- You’ve been sole operator of core HR areas - benefits, policies, handbook, compliance, immigration, employee relations, performance management, etc.
- You have experience designing compensation structures
