The Director of HR Operations will enable Fuze to continue to scale as the company prepares for its IPO in 2019. The new Director will provide a strategic level of focus and orientation in building the company’s capabilities to attract and retain a high caliber global workforce. The ideal candidate will be able to build this strategic capacity while ensuring the flawless execution on day to day HR operations to include on boarding and managing key employee transactions. The ideal candidate for this role will be able to maintain existing high value benefits for the US, Canada and our other 11 global locations while adding to the portfolio other best in class options, cost-effective options that further the company’s strategic people goals. FUZE has 700 employees globally with 500 in North America.

What you will be doing:

Global Benefits

  • Drive the development and implementation of multi-year benefits strategy balancing emerging trends, market competitiveness and cost.
  • Ensure that benefit plans are competitive and that renewals are timely and cost effective for 11 countries in which Fuze has employees.
  • Coordinate with local HR teams and brokers and lead the annual review, design and implementation of global benefit plans, including retirement, health, dental, vision, disability, life and other benefit offerings, ensuring that plans are market competitive and cost effective.
  • Coordinate partner vendors to ensure innovative thinking and sound analyses in making benefit decisions that support business priorities.
  • Plan all benefit communications in a creative way to ensure active employee participation and understanding of FUZE benefit offerings.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies worldwide.

Administration and Operations

  • Manage overall HR administration ensuring efficient processing of benefits and effective coordination with payroll and HRIS and other HR partners
  • Ensure employee questions and issues are addressed effectively and in a timely manner keeping in mind a high quality service orientation
  • Develop and manage the annual global benefits budget, including quarterly forecasts and variance explanations.
  • Oversee FUZE's relocation program ensuring that staff experience relocating with FUZE is a positive one.
  • Ensure that benefit programs comply with applicable regulations

HR Operations

  • Develop and maintain effective end to end HR processes to ensure continuity across the full life cycle of employment.
  • Facilitate continuous process improvement through partnerships within the HR organization and through the enterprise.
  • Proactively audit and coordinate established procedures, systems and standards for overall HR operations.
  • Track, analyze, and communicate key success metrics as they relate to both human resource programs & operations and to company-wide initiatives.
  • Proactively stay up to date on industry trends, constantly researching and recommending best practices as appropriate.
  • Lead, facilitate and prioritize HR initiatives with HR senior leadership team. Project manage programs including but not limited to on-boarding, performance management, compensation and bonus planning.
  • Provide regular, ongoing reporting and communications to leadership regarding status of initiatives.
  • Manage payroll preparation and benefits processing utilizing 1 direct report
  • Ensure data integrity and identify opportunities to leverage technology and/or streamline processes.
  • Create and analyze HR/Payroll reports as well as regulatory/ compliance reports (e.g. EEO-1; 401k discrimination testing, etc.).
  • Manage all leave of absences (FMLA/OLA), personnel record keeping and file retention programs.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
  • 5-10 years of experience in designing and administering comprehensive US and global benefit programs, some of this in a public company environment preferred. Experience working in a technology company known as a great place to work highly desirable
  • 3+ years of experience leading a highly talented and motivated team
  • Strong strategic, analytic, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Collaborative approach to working with internal customers and experience managing external benefit partners
  • Team player who responds to challenge with a sense of urgency
  • Superb customer service ethic with outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Sense of humor, humility and non-hierarchical philosophy
