The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (ODEI) is dedicated to advancing and supporting diversity, inclusion, and equal employment opportunity at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. The Role:
The Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will report to the AVP of the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. This role will drive the research, analytics, and equity best practices within the Bank and will work with the leadership of ODEI to develop and steer data-driven, results-oriented DE&I strategies with a bias for action. Your work will enable strategies which foster inclusive leadership, collaboration and innovation; identify and eliminate hidden barriers to success; and help the organization to attract, retain and advance top talent from underrepresented backgrounds.
What's Expected of You:
- Stay abreast of research and best practices in equity and inclusion by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data related to equity; surveys, focus groups, programs and other initiatives.
- Leverage data to create historical trends and forecasting of analytics to determine root causes and correlations to make recommendations to partners regarding the implementation and continuous improvement of equitable practices in DEI/HR programs/initiatives, processes and procedures.
- Establish goals, metrics, KPIs and track the equity progress of business units and DEI programs and efforts.
- Create metrics, dashboards, DEI Scorecards to ensure accountability, effectiveness of DEI initiatives, tracking, establishment of ROI baselines, and monitoring of management's progress and efforts.
- Report progress against DEI goals, provide data insights/metrics quarterly to track business impact.
- Engage internal/external stakeholders and provide benchmarking and best practice sharing, and subject matter expertise, on DEI and competitive analysis as it relates to organizational equity practices.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree required, with business administration, human resources, leadership and organizational development, and/or behavioral design degrees preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of data analytics experience preferably within a DEI context.
- Proven expertise in leveraging sensitive data for analyzing trends and incorporating quantitative results; preference for experience with diversity data sources (EEO, US Census, HRIS data sets).
- Demonstrated inclusive leadership qualities, including excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, strategic and innovative thinking, oral and written communication skills, excellent presentation skills and the ability to build enthusiasm and commitment.
- Executes a high degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing projects and priorities simultaneously through the creation and maintenance of project charters, project plans, status reports, budgets, and communication and change management plans.
- Possesses the ability to see the big picture but with a keen eye for details.
- Proven consultative skills with an ability to influence, build trust and buy-in and motivate various internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience driving efforts for transformational change - innovative, courageous and willing to be disruptive to challenge status quo.
- Ability to embrace growth and change and utilize evolving environments as opportunity to improve culture and bring about success within the organization.
- Strong design thinking, project management, organizational and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated success leading through influence, leveraging relationships and interpersonal skills to drive for results in a flexible, team-oriented environment.
