Compensation & Benefits Manager
THE ROLE: We’re looking for…
Our Compensation and Benefits Manager will have overall responsibility for compensation strategy and benefit plan management. As a key member of the People team, this role will serve as a key point of contact for associates, own benefits related projects, including open enrollment and vendor communications and ensure that Rue La La continues to be an employer of choice in the e-commerce industry.
What you’ll accomplish…
Benefits:
- Manage health & welfare plans, ancillary insurances, 401(k) plan transactions, audits and legally mandated benefit information and enrollment documentation
- Partner with Director, Human Resources on benefit strategy and work with benefits brokers on implementing strategy
- Support open enrollment activities including creating and delivering communications, building and testing open enrollment portal, and associate inquiries during open enrollment period.
- Support payroll with ACA compliance and generate annual filings
- Assist with 401(k) plan administration, data entry, and employee communication.
- Ensure compliance with all federal programs such as HIPAA, COBRA, ACA and FMLA.
- Update and maintain benefits related procedures as necessary.
- Answer questions regarding benefit eligibility, amounts of coverage, and claims procedures for employees, supervisors, and vendors.
- Conduct benefits orientation and training activities for new hires, employees newly eligible for benefits, and open enrollment.
- Assist with preparation of various governmental reports and filings, assists supervisor in preparing Summary Plan Descriptions and planning wellness initiatives and activities.
Compensation:
- Establish compensation philosophy and partner leaders and HRBPs to ensure that Rue is competitive in the marketplace
- Provide competitive pay analysis.
- Recommend short-term and long-term incentive programs and manage equity administration.
- Use published or conducts ad hoc surveys to obtain and analyze market pay rates. Makes recommendations on appropriate pay guidelines. Prepares reports on findings and handles administrative steps to formalize recommendations.
- Review and recommends salary placements for new hires.
- Provide data input to annual salary surveys.
Other:
- Produce and track associate letters for new hires, promotions, stock grants and transfers.
- Timely response to all employee inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, and courteous resolution.
- Participate in the re-design of HR processes. May document outcomes and maintain HR process and “how-to” information.
- Provide support to HR projects and initiatives.
- Other job duties as assigned.
THE RIGHT FIT: You have…
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
- 4+ years related compensation and benefits experience
- High proficiency in using excel;
- Proficient communication skills, both verbally and in written form, with all levels of Associates
- Experience juggling multiple assignments and deadlines with accuracy and pride of ownership in a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, including prioritization and follow-through
- Flexibility during times of transition and change
- Enthusiasm and desire to engage and contribute ideas to the team is a must.
