We are currently seeking an Associate Director, HR Solutions to join our exciting and fast-paced HR Solutions team. This leader will be part entrepreneur, part visionary and part product mastermind, with a passion for creating well-designed, integrated, user-friendly solutions focusing on Workday as a vehicle for delivering a best-in-class employee experience to Chewtopians.


We are looking for an experienced product leader and builder to innovate on behalf of our team members.  You will lead and gather industry knowledge to stay close to the advancements and best practices with adopting Workday capabilities. You will focus on building a world-class team member experience for this highly strategic space, defining, and implementing exceptional end-to-end team member experiences, providing thought leadership and innovative vision in a fast-paced start-up environment. You will also be a trusted partner for the enterprise customers, proactively partnering with these customers to understand their needs, lead the strategic planning process to defined, scopes and prioritize these initiatives, and ultimately ensure delivery is on-time, on-budget, on-scope delivery. This role requires deep product and portfolio management skills, excellent leadership skills, and strong business judgement.


This role reports to the Director, HR Systems and Solutions, and has two key focuses: 1) owns delivery of the roadmap supporting their assigned customer groups (i.e., Compensation, Benefits, HR Operations and Payroll) and 2) deliver and maintain all solutions and products which leverage Workday, supporting all HR and TA portfolios. In this role, you will lead a team of solutions manager and analysts to deliver complex and integrated solutions through Workday which automate HR processes, helping Chewy continue to grow, scale, and enhance the team member experience. You will partner with other portfolio managers (i.e., Talent, HRBP/HRSS, and WFM), delivery teams (i.e., Kronos, SNOW, Data Operations) to deliver solutions and products aligned to the business goals and priorities, helping achieve our company vision. What You’ll Do:

 

People Leader

  • Provide leadership and supervision of the Workday Solutions team, consisting of six (6) Workday Solutions Managers and Analysts.
  • Develop, coach and mentor the team to grow business and technical acumen.
  • Provide daily strategic guidance, management, and leadership to the solutions team, ensuring teams are working effectively and in a way that drives the overall HR Operations vision forward, negotiates priorities and support requirements.
  • Lead the team to ensure product configuration is optimized, business processes are efficient, and the user experience is world class, Plans and controls departmental staffing
  • Drive ongoing sprint planning and delivery tracking for all Workday-related requests from each of the portfolio leads (Talent, HRBP/HRSS, and WFM) as supported by the Workday Solutions team.
  • Collaborates to ensure necessary teamwork and support from other departments, including Information Technology (IT), Finance, Human Resources (HR), and outside third-party vendors.


Product Strategy

  • Partner with the Director, HR System and Solution to develop and execute a 3-year Workday product roadmap to deliver a world-class experience for our team members.
  • Define the needs to build and manage the ongoing roadmap that supports the needs of the customer portfolio related to Compensation, Benefits, HR Operations, Payroll and HR IT teams.
  • Collaborate with other Portfolio leads to assess and plan the near, mid, and long term needs for the delivery team, including process improvements or other automated solutions to positively impact our employee experience.
  • Collaborate closely with Information Technology to ensure that all technical standards are met, and integration into the larger Chewy technology ecosystem is seamless, secure, scalable and supports the right data architecture.
  • Activate listening mechanisms and promote the use of business insights that help inform the roadmap and assessment of various tools.


Solutions Delivery

  • Work cross functionally to perform high level scoping and resource planning for the delivery teams and manage prioritization within the portfolio.
  • Responsible for directing and managing projects and sprints, ensuring timely completion, within budget and meeting customer expectations.
  • Develop and socialize business cases, garner organizational support, and lead the team who develop and implements solution recommendations.
  • Manage the planning and reporting activities across multiple, concurrent projects of varying complexity, providing consultation, strategic vision, and innovative solutions.
  • Create portfolio goals and related metrics; develop reporting across the portfolio of projects to monitor the project delivery to ensure business outcomes are achieved.
  • Track and ensure visibility to ongoing engagement, adoption, measurement, outcomes, and success; taking lessons learned forward to expand, improve, and evolve technology solutions.
  • Build mechanisms to track Operational metrics in support of the solutions delivery processes.
  • Oversees the processes to support Sox and audit controls and ensures Workday security is aligned with the ITGC standards.
  • Responds to and diagnoses problems related to outages, and responsible for resolving issues with configuration or integrations which involve Workday.


What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human Resources, Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience designing new processes, HR digital platforms/ solutions, operating models and leading large implementations programs crossing multiple functions
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in HR technology, customer strategy & activation, customer insights with building digital transformation strategies & customer experience journeys, facilitating Business/HR/IT/other stakeholders’ alignment for improving the outcomes of digital strategies.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Workday modules (i.e., HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Advanced Compensation, Payroll (US), Talent and Performance)
  • Ability to bridge strategic views, governance, innovation, and efficiency topics to accelerate our Digital HR transformation
  • Excellent large-scale program management, senior stakeholder communication, problem solving and data analytic skills
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology, Scrum Master certification is a plus
  • Customer focused, pragmatic problem-solving and tech-savvy mentality with a strong outcome focus and an attention to detail
  • Effectively deal with ambiguity in a fast-changing landscape shifting gears comfortably; decide and act without having the total picture; comfortably handle risk and uncertainty
