As an HR Associate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Human Resources function at Point C. You will maintain employee records, oversee onboarding and offboarding, ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies, and contribute to the development of HR initiatives aimed at fostering employee engagement and organizational success. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various HR tasks while making a meaningful impact on our team and workplace culture. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Handle employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, PTO, benefits, providing timely and helpful assistance, and escalating to colleagues when necessary.  
  • Own the onboarding and offboarding process, maintain employee files, and oversee the overall employee lifecycle.  
  • Ensure data accuracy in internal company systems, maintain and update all employee-related information, including salary data, job titles, and personal data. 
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, maintain Human Resource databases, and support compliance-related reports.  
  • Serve as HR point person for payroll, and a backup for processing payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing in coordination with the Payroll Manager. 
  • Participate in payroll processing rotation with the Payroll Manager to maintain consistent payroll operations. 
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with employees at all levels of the organization. 
  • Contribute to the development of HR initiatives aimed at enhancing employee performance, engagement, and retention. 
  • Collaborate with team members by assisting with miscellaneous projects and tasks to support department goals. 
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion, safeguarding employee confidentiality and maintaining data integrity.  

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources management or equivalent practical experience 
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in a Human Resources role    
  • Exceptional organizational, customer service, and interpersonal communication skills  
  • Flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills  
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities  
  • Proficient with MS Office tools (Word, Excel PowerPoint and Outlook)  

Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications. Certain roles may be eligible for additional compensation, including bonuses, and merit increases. Additionally, certain roles have the opportunity to receive sales commissions that are based on the terms of the sales commission plan applicable to the role.
