About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated, data-driven and quality-oriented Vice President of Finance to join our exceptional team. As a member of the Executive Management team, reporting to the CEO, you will assume a strategic role in the overall leadership of the company. You will drive the overall financial strategy & operations and have primary, day-to-day responsibility for managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for FP&A, accounting, tax, cash management, M&A, investor relationships and more. This position will also play a crucial role in building out the financial and operational systems for Acorio’s next phase of growth.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Help drive the organization’s strategic direction moving forward
  • Develop and enhance existing financial and operational strategies
  • Responsibility for all financial statements, budgeting, oversight of A/P, A/R, cash and investments
  • Manage the Planning Process
  • Ensure our financials, legal contracts, controls and operations meet standards expected by potential company buyers
  • Lead planning and forecasting of budgets and revenues
  • Collaborate with sales in designing and tracking commission plans
  • Drive the quarterly/annual budgeting and planning process as well as long-range strategic planning
  • Oversee monthly/quarterly budget vs actual variance analysis, including key metrics that tie back to financial goals
  • Interact with accounting, tax and other external resources, including financial reviews
  • Proactively model and forecast revenue, expenses, cash
  • Drive efficiencies in the business across SG&A

Requirements

  • Experience in professional services is required
  • Must have recent and significant experience as a VP of Finance of a technology services company with experience of rapid growth from (less than $40m in revenues with 50%+ yearly growth)
  • 10+ years demonstrated progressive responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in technology
  • Experience capturing, analyzing, and proactively delivering financial data and insights that maximize strategic decision making
  • Experience developing detailed financial plans/models that evaluate the economics of business acquisitions/partnerships
  • Capable of clearly and concisely communicating the financial performance and leading indicators of the company: strategy, assumptions, forecasting
  • Experience advising on issues, trends, and changes in the operating models
  • Action-oriented leader with a high sense of urgency and a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach
  • Experience leading board book preparation including executive summary, key strategic initiatives, monthly and quarterly metrics
  • Deep problem solving and analytical skills
  • Technologically savvy, proven experience in defining and implementing finance and business applications
  • Enthusiastic team player with strong EQ
  • Minimum BA in Accounting or Finance, MBA is highly desirable
