Job Description:
You are a VP Finance who will oversee all aspects of Finance & Accounting at Toast. You will be in a senior leadership role reporting to the CFO, developing our people, process, and strategic approach to Finance in a hyper-growth startup environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead high-performing FP&A and Accounting groups, with opportunity to grow the role further into corporate development, strategy and operations functions
  • Automate key processes to drive efficiency across the organization
  • Further enhance the customer service side of the Finance org for both internal and external customers – i.e. billing, expenses, comp plans, etc.
  • Be a strategic partner to the management team in setting the long-term direction of the company
  • Work with department leads to drive efficiency gains through capacity planning, negotiation with vendors, and automation
  • Further refine bi-annual budgeting / planning process and reporting / controls

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or similar discipline
  • Experience leading Finance teams of 15+ in a high-growth technology company environment
  • Led IPO process or significant experience at a public technology company – or equivalent investment banking experience
  • Experience in a highly automated and data driven organization
  • Understanding of GAAP, public company reporting and controls, and FP&A best practices

Bonus Points:

  • SaaS or FinTech industry experience
  • Investment Banking or M&A experience
  • CPA or MBA
