This position is responsible for ensuring general ledger transactions are recorded in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner in accordance with US GAAP. The ideal candidate will be disciplined and process-oriented with a high level of enthusiasm, professionalism, and integrity. The role demands a highly organized and detailed individual who is capable of multi-tasking and meeting deadlines consistently.
- Ensure a timely close of the general ledger including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and analyses in accordance with GAAP
- Review work of staff members for accuracy and serve as functional backup when necessary for accounts payable, credit cards, fixed assets, payroll and prepaids
- Assist FP&A in the monthly review of financials with department heads
- Manage all business-related compliance items (audits, insurance, licenses, taxes, etc.)
- Administer the Company’s equity program: management of the capitalization table, shareholder transactions, and stock based compensation entries
- Support annual financial audit
- Support ad hoc projects and analyses as required
Education and Experience:
- 2 to 4 years’ experience in a Staff Accountant or Senior Staff Account role
- Bachelor’s degree in business/accounting required
Job Knowledge and Skills
- Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principle (GAAP)
- Attention to detail and problem-solving/data analysis capabilities
- Superior oral and written communications skills
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines consistently;
- Exceptional work ethic with professional demeanor and attitude
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Intact accounting software (or other SAAS-based ERP solutions) experience a significant plus
