The Retail Product and Strategy Organization is seeking a Senior Strategy Advancement Professional for our newly formed Customer Segment Product Management Team. As a consumer-centered health organization, Humana is committed to finding ways to grow our membership by delivering desirable experiences to consumers that improve clinical outcomes and help members achieve their best health, while driving profitability to support the long-term sustainability of our offerings. In exploring opportunities to meet consumer needs, Humana’s Retail Medicare organization has identified opportunities to design, develop and deliver offerings designed for the unique needs of specific consumer segments (e.g., Dual Eligibles, Veterans, etc.).

 

Responsibilities

 

The Senior Strategy Advancement Professional will work with fellow team members to identify solutions and recommendations to both strategic questions and offering/experience-related opportunities prioritized by Retail Product and Strategy leadership.  You’ll deconstruct issues and challenges, conduct targeted research and analysis, and craft sound, logical solutions and recommendations.  You’ll also help to identify implementation considerations for recommendations, and help to transition analysis into execution by operating partners. While doing so, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with fellow team members, subject matter experts, members of Humana’s executive Management Team, and corporate, functional, and business segment leaders.

 

Responsibilities

As part of a flat multi-disciplinary team comprised of product management, design, business intelligence and business analysis, The Senior Strategy Advancement Professional will:

  • Manage analysis and/or work streams within high-profile, high-impact strategy projects
  • Support interviews and working sessions with leaders within Retail and across the company
  • Conduct industry, market, competitor, and financial analysis and identifying insights for Humana
  • Create high quality analysis and sections of deliverables that clearly frame objectives, issues, and challenges, and articulate insightful findings and recommendations
  • Work collaboratively with fellow team members and leaders across the company

 

               

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong record of academic achievement
  • 2+ years experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, or corporate/business unit strategy
  • Strong problem solving skills and demonstrated ability to perform complex quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Strong record of leadership in a work setting and in extracurricular activities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Highly collaborative, flexible, teamwork oriented working style
  • Strong commitment to personal and professional growth

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Finance, accounting, engineering, business, or technical focused undergraduate major
  • Managed care and/or healthcare services work experience
  • Ability to navigate in a fast paced environment and prioritize tasks with competing deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to productively collaborate across various organization/functions
  • Experience working on business transformation efforts

 

Additional Information

Work location for this position is either onsite at the Humana Tower, Louisville, KY or Boston, MA
