Senior Accountant

We are seeking a motivated, experienced accountant to join our growing team. This position requires an organized, technically proficient accountant with an analytical mind and the ability to learn. The Senior Inventory Accountant will be responsible for a wide range of accounting activities including preparing monthly GL entries and account reconciliations, preparing and updating schedules and analyses for internal and external reporting purposes, and generally supporting the inventory costing and accounting process. The role will also involve collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role will report directly to the Senior Manager of Revenue and Inventory.
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Review inventory costing in accordance with ASC 330
- Perform monthly roll forwards of inventory for the consolidated company and for various location.
- Produces various monthly/quarterly/annual reports that account for the company’s investment in inventory.
- Evaluates the reasonableness and calculation of established inventory reserves.
- Perform variance analysis and analytics on various aspects of the inventory balances
- Provides guidance and/or resolution of reconciling items.
- Participates in system process and development projects.
- Participates in periodic physical inventory counts at all factory and distribution centers as deemed necessary.
- Investigation of count variances.
- Monitors Internal Controls are adhered to related to inventory.
- Work directly with both internal and external auditors on financial audits.
- Participate in special projects as requested by leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5+ years’ minimum progressive experience in Accounting roles
- 1+ years of inventory costing experience
- Big 4 experience or CPA preferred
- Experience with Oracle or similar global ERP system preferred
- Strong analytical skills, creative problem-solving, and ability to summarize conclusions succinctly
- Flexibility and comfort with continuous change, willingness to take on challenges
- Ability to prioritize multiple duties and work independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to actively and attentively listen
- High degree of dedication to improvement and strong sense of ownership
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
