About the Senior Analyst, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting role:

 

  • Support the company’s SEC reporting process, prepare/compile, review, and assess the disclosures included in Form 10-K, Form 10-Q and quarterly earnings release.
  • Evaluate disclosures both qualitatively and quantitatively based on SEC and FASB guidance.
  • Assist with the research of technical accounting and reporting issues, including evaluating the impact of new accounting guidance on our financial statements.
  • Support our technical accounting research efforts related to complex transactions, such as, acquisitions, divesture, hedge accounting and debt financing.
  • Support the quarterly stock compensation accounting process, including but not limited to: running reports from Equity Edge, reviewing/reconciling data, preparing journal entries and preparing fluctuation analysis.
  • Maintain the operational accounting related to certain accounts (goodwill, intangible assets, deferred acquisition payments etc.) and prepare periodic account analysis.
  • Support goodwill/intangible impairment review analysis. Work with external firms and cross-functional teams to understand and assess the valuation methodologies and assumptions.

 

Qualifications of the SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting role:

Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) or equivalent in accounting or business-related discipline.

Experience: 5 years of related experience, with prior experience with a national public accounting firm preferred but not required.

Required skills: Excel (pivot table)

Preferred, but not required skills:  Equity Edge, software industry experience, stock compensation, purchase accounting.
